Being alone is not equivalent to being lonely.

Yes and I stand by that.

Despite all the drama that is happening in this phase of my so-called life right now, I managed to take a day off and spent the entire day by myself in the city shopping, eating awesome sushi and watching X-Men :)

Been working really really hard this week. Friday and Saturday I was doing double shifts back-to-back. If things were alright, I wouldn't have worked that much. I only got my college timetable on Thursday and on Friday, I found out I did not qualify to do 5 subjects because my GPA was below 3. Which I only found out after I paid for the 5th subject. WHICH the dean could have told me when I sent him an email last week to which he didn't reply at all. I was told by student services to obtain permission from the dean to do 5 subjects.

I was like 'WTF?'. First of all, he did not bother notifying me on that little detail, refused to pass my appeal and now I have to get his PERMISSION to do 5 subjects????

FUCK ICMS TO THE BONE!

If that bastard says no, it means I can't graduate in Oct and will have to wait until next June. Which also means I have to stay in Australia for another 3 months just to do 1 subject!

The only thing I'm pissed at right now is the dean and the school.

I have to accept my situation now. And I will not let this get to me. In fact, which ever situation I'm in, I will make the most out of it.

If the bastard says yes, then I will study hard and finish my 5 subjects and graduate in time.
If he says no, then it's fine too! I will stay in Sydney for another 3 months and work even more and take a few language courses. Which is certainly beneficial to me as well! and 3 more months of Chat Thai

So you see, that bastard and useless college can't bring me down! I will find the silver lining in whatever cloud there is.

Woah, rant over.

And I was saying..yup, shopping! Got myself a few jumpers and tops as well as replenish my makeup remover and face masks.

Had lunch at Sushi Hotaru in the Galleries Victoria. All the sushis including handrolls are only $3 per plate washed down with green tea latte. Yummmm. I can do this everyday.

I will be very very very busy next week because I have school and work is super duper busy at the moment - I have 4 shifts so it's school and rush to work after that.

Fingers crossed I survive!

It seems a drop of blue ink has the ability to turn the pool blue in ICMS.

And where is my fuckin guardian angel. Maybe I was lying to myself.

Epic fail for me :(

I FAILED ONE OF MY SUBJECTS - BUSINESS PROJECT!

I hate this sooo much! T_________________T

Well, not exactly fail yet because I received a FR which means fail requirements. And the requirement that I failed to fulfill is passing my final exam. It is stated in the Scheme of Work that students must pass their final exams in order to pass this subject -_-

After all the credit, distinction and high D I obtained for my assignments, I scored 43/100 for my final exam and received a FR for that!

So not fair...I have already sent in my appeal to the dean and also to my lecturer to change the grade.

Hopefully they will consider my appeal and I will not have to repeat that dreaded subject :(

Maybe there is an angel looking after me because today after I dealt with all that shit in college, I logged into my FB and found a message in my inbox from an middle-aged Indian looking guy whom I have no idea who is. And his msg?

'May God bless you. We will pray for you'.

I was like creeped out and shit because how apt is that message??!!! Just in time when I need whoever's blessings and prayers the most - so my appeal can be successful!

I am soo depressed now.

Congrats to me!

First thing first.

I was working in banquets on Thursday night for a dinner function when David enthusiastically called me into the office. I was like 'YOU look happy..'.

Then he proceed to present me with this piece of laminated document! Employee of the month!

Let's ignore the spelling mistake of my surname and the word 'associate', shall we? WTF
My manager can't spell.

I am known as Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo or WOAH! at work because of this mistake ever since I started working in Westin. Never bothered to correct them either.

I received 20 care shares for this and it's equivalent to 2 movie tickets. Shall save them for Hangover Part 2 and Harry Potter.

OMG!!! Finally..after 2 years of hard work, I get this recognition. Actually, if Tania didn't leave none of us would receive this at all because she never thought about this kind of reward system.

I say this is a very good stimulus to increase my work productivity and efficiency because now I feel even happier to go to work and know that I am one step closer to my goals.

Andrea's farewell dinner was last night at Sky Phoenix but I didn't join coz didn't feel like it. Guess what!

Walter was there! Mahaiiiiiiiiiii. He hardly comes out for this kind of outings one but of all the outings that happened, he showed up to the one I decided to forgo. Fark.

But luckily I was going to Cargo Bar anyways for the after dinner drinks and he was there. He left like ten minutes after I arrived :((
Coz I only got there at 10.30pm and he's like old and goes to bed early >.>

At least I got to see him for a bit :)

*********

Guess what are these things?

They are poach pods! To poach your eggs with :)
I got them from this kiosk in Broadway Shopping Centre selling all these quirky but beautiful kitchenwares such as chopping boards, oven mitts, egg timers, pans, cookie cutters and etc.

A bit expensive tho at $20 a pair but for the sake of poach eggs, I'll have to part with my money *kisses* wtf

***********

My sleeping pattern has been SO fucked up lately. Wake up at 2pm everyday and can't sleep until 5am every night!

Cmonnnnn moite!

And of course I couldn't sleep at all last night after Cargo Bar AND I have work in Mosaic at 7am the morning after yeah. Went to work with no sleep at all. Super yo.

Thank God the shift was short like 5.5 hours only. I got $10 in tips *happppyyyyy

After work, I decided to stop by in Kinokuniya to browse through. Maybe I can find a few of the books that I'm currently after. I bought the Ultimate Goddess on eBay for 1.98 pounds ok. But shipping is 3.94 pounds WTF. In total, I paid 9 Aussie bucks for it which is pretty worth it I guess.

As for the novel by the Korean author, it was expensive like $30-$40. So when I saw it at Kinokuniya, I decided to just buy it on the spot since the prices are roughly the same anyway.

Along with that, I picked up another book called Nice Girls Just Don't Get It which is about finally putting your own needs first instead of being a doormat which I am. But later exchanged it for God's Callgirl which is supposedly based on a true story. Should be interesting :)

I saw so many interesting book titles and sat in the store for 2 hours randomly reading excerpts from each book :p
I totally forgot I still have not eaten lunch yet until my tummy grumbled and the guy next to me casted me sideway glances *shyyyyyy

Here are a few more books to add to my to-buy books:
1) Rape of Nanking by Honda something
2) Digital Natives - about the Gen Y + digital world and their effects on the future
3) Happiness at work
4) S.U.M.O (Shut Up and Move On)
5) Clutch (why some people work well under pressure and some don't)
6) The next 100 years (this author predicts what will happen within the next 100 years and discuss their implications)

I think I'll be cooping in my home these few months -_-

Morning breath sucks.

So like yeah...... we have a new sharemate moving in today. I just woke up and walked out of my room when I saw her. She was like 'HII!! My name is Stella! Nice to meet you! Blablablabla...".

I was trying to keep my mouth shut as tight as possible because I JUST WOKE UP AND HAVE NOT BRUSHED YET. She kept going on and on and on and even moved in to give me a hug. I was thinking to myself like 'Ermmm, could you wait until I washed my face or something?'.

When she finally left, I was like OMG. Kill me.

******

Today I finally get to cook japchae!! The food looks great but the taste is missing something. When I Googled it, I found someone writing about the 'missing ingredient' as Lee Kum Kee's Korean BBQ sauce. That sauce will transform your homecooked japchae into exactly what is served in the restaurant.

Admittedly I did omit a few ingredients such as cabbage/onion but I did fry some onions in the cooking oil to get that aromatic oil, just that I removed the onions themselves after I got the oil.

So I thought to myself 'Could LKK Korean BBQ sauce be the answer?'. Anyway, I will get myself a jar of that stuff and add it to my cooking the next time.

*******

I just finished reading the The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown and it just reminds me of why I love his books so much and it also reminds me of how much I enjoy reading too :))

I finished the book in 7 hours! I started on Sunday and went through 1/3 of the book in 3 hours. And during work, all I could think of was coming home quickly to finish off the book. So last night, after work and dinner, I came home and started reading at 12am. Finally finished the book at 4am. But I was a bit scared to sleep afterwards. Dunno why!!

It's not like it's Shutter or what right...just some religious stuff and a lot of revelations >.>

It's funny tho cause Robert Langdon always seems to have the answer at the final moment just as he was about to expire. If that's the case, then you would see a lot of students drowning themselves in the exam hall and go like 'YES! That's the answer!' and then write their answers in the exam paper WTF.

I wish to be Robert Langdon for one day because he is just so smart and so often he is put in situations where he's constantly challenged and forced to rise to the next level.

I am waiting for Langdon's next adventure!

These are the books that I plan to read:
1) The Ultimate Goddess: Be the Woman you want to be by Elisabeth Wilson
2) HBR's 10 Must Read on Managing People by Harvard Business Review
3) Please look after Mom by Kyung-Sook Shin
4) The 7 books of the Narnia series :)

I think I'll look them up on eBay or Amazon. Yeah!

I just wanna rest...

As of now, I'm still not feeling very well. Sore throat and cough were not as severe as they were a few days ago.

I am supposed to be working from today onwards until Saturday. But today while at work, I had one of my coughing fits again. David saw me and he was like 'Lesley, do you want to take a day off to rest at home?' which translates to 'Lesley, you are sick and I demand you to take a day off to rest'. I was like 'Dayum! Now I just lost another shift' but my reply was 'Yes, why not..thanks!'.

Geez...he knew I was sick since last Fri and I could have rest at home on Sat but instead I decided to help Lobby Bar out and David saw me. He was like 'Lesley, you're unwell. Why don't you rest at home?'. I was like 'Urmmm......urmmm....coz I'm money faced? >.> '.

JK. I gave my excuses and all that and he was sorta cool with it.

Truth is yes I wanted to continue to work but at the same time, I was dying for a day during which I could just lay in bed ALL day long and not worry about having to go outside. And I could really use a day like this especially now that I'm feeling a bit under the weather. AND that day for me will only come on Sunday if David had not force me to take a day off.

So tomorrow I am going to nua in bed the entire day and read my two newly bought fashion magazines and maybe start on 'The Lost Symbol' by Dan Brown which I bought like 2 years ago but never actually started reading heheh. Procrastination wins.

It's going to be a wonderful day for me tomorrow (especially now the weather is 8-11 degree C at night BRRRRRRRRRRRRR wtf)

Sick and fugly.

That is me. Sick and fugly.

Been having the coughs, runny nose and all those shizz.

So annoyed man. Been working since Wed too. And I have tomorrow to study for my distribution exam on Mon.

Exam on tues and then!!!!!!!! Work............. -_-

Work until own mother also cannot recognise one wtf. I initially had 5 shifts next week but I gave one away coz it clashes with my exam. So 4 very busy shifts next week. Damn those Business Chicks.

If I do not have exams on Mon and Tues, I'm pretty sure David would put me on for Mon and Tues too :(

So tired.

I think I'll start on my distribution revision now. LE SIGH
