Today, I was supposed to sign off at 8pm but then Mikey came in and saw me! He was like 'No, no, no, no!!'. Dammit! I was sooo close. So I went back to Station 3 and polished more glasses. Hmph!

Dis week damn busy ok!!! We had so many conferences and meetings and set-ups to do it's crazy!

Tues, we had a HongKong - Guangdong Business Conference in Sydney 2009. It was for 800 pax and as expected plenty of VIPs such as the Premier of NSW and some important big-shots from HK and China.

The stage was so pretty. The organiser used prolly $15,000 worth of flowers as decorations and when the conference ended, everything was to go in the bin!!

So we girls as always quickly salvaged a bunch of flowers for each of us!! Every girl has a different combination of bouquet. For me, my colour theme was reds and blues with a tinge of green.

Then we camwhored in the locker room wtf. Just finished work but I look like shit as usual.

Started at 10am today and I thought the longest they would need me for is prolly 5 hours. But then Andrea suddenly asked me "Lesley. What time can you stay until today?". I'm like "Anytime.".

Then he gave me this most evil grin ever wtf. And then I worked until 10.30pm.

Tired....But I made lotsa $ today!

I have done 12 hours shifts 3 times this week. Remember how I told u guys about my Tues and Wed shifts in banquets and how it will be easy because it is not those big-scale functions?

Coz instead, it was 2 breakfasts turned around for 2 lunches and set up for 1 dinner. It was damn busy ok!

It's alright. In my first week, I have already done 41 hours! So I need another 40 hours or so next week.

First, whenever I ask her to do something which is a msg passed on to me by the supervisors, she stares at me and looked like she didn't wanna do it. Her face is like 'Why the fuck are you giving me orders?'. I do not give her orders. I politely asked her and minded my Ps and Qs.

Seriously girl. You need to check that attittude of yours coz JK, Jasmine, Andi, Sun Ju, Joseph, Matthew and a lot more do not like you! So see...this is not me having negative feelings towards her on a personal level but as proven, it's because she pisses people off.

Kazi - Kazi is this Bangladeshi guy who is new as well. I was neutral towards him initially but then it turned negative because he is just plain annoying. He NEVER listens to anyone, thinks that his work is the best and as said earlier, annoying.

A typical conversation with him would go like this:

OK. This is probably the most FRUSTRATING day ever. It's like the hardest thing in the world to let me go home smoothly without any obstacles.

I went to DF's website today just to see that the price of the tickets have increased to $1400++. FML. So I thought 'Shit! Must book my ticket immediately!'.

Off I went to DF's office and they told me they would quote another price for me. Went home and found a quote from them with a very good price. So I quickly agreed to make the payment after checking all the flights' details la.

Then they send me a credit card authorisation form which requires me to photocopy my dad's card. WTF.

Does it look like my dad is with me right now??!!

What to do? The only other option is to pay by EFTPOS. Logged in my internet banking just to see that the limit of my Pay Anyone option is $1000 a day!!!!

When I try to change my limit, it says to wait for 5 business days for them to mail me the action code.

Yesterday, ICMS's career advisor came to Westin to check up on us. Before that, the supervisors have already filled in a form rating our performances and giving 'helpful' comments.

My report was done by Adam. Who gave me average in terms of work performance. He said I have the ability to do well but the thing is whether I want to or not. *shrugs*

Then Tania gave her comments too. She said I wasn't good in terms of technical skills at first but have since improved. She said I'm slow and lazy! That I don't smile enough and bla bla bla.

MAHAI!!!

I told my colleagues and the ones who have worked with me during previous functions said that they think I was fast in doing my job. They think that I smile a lot too.

Who is that fucking cunt to say I am lazy and slow? Fine. I may not be the fastest worker there but I am definitely not the slowest! One time, I was putting out booklets on the table and I need to put them standing up. The table is wobbly, the booklets are damn retarded and bent so I can't do them quickly.

Tania came around and made like a monkey-like action while saying 'Quick, quick Lesley! You do it like this!'. She meant 'this' by putting the imaginary books on the table really fast like 1 book per second.

I was thinking 'You're not the one with the books! Try you do it, bitch!'.

Afterwards she helped with putting the books and she wasn't any faster than I was.

Last night, we had a 850 pax dinner for the 'Small Business Awards' and things didn't go as smoothly as usual. I thought I would finish with the rest at like 2am. So Sun Ju and Reza was like 'we'll go for Korean food and soju' later. Thinking that I have another shift at 7am and don't plan to sleep anyways, I agreed.

However at 11pm, Mikey said I can sign off with the some others who have a 11am shift on Sun.

As I said earlier, I was very moody for the second half of the week due to lack of sleep and other stuff.

I heard the Chinese flatmate(not my roomie) cooking in the kitchen and talking with her fren in her native language and it just boils my blood to hear that accent.

She's doing nothing to me right? But I was just so pissed at that moment that I could strangle her so she would stop. You might ask 'why don't you go listen to ur Ipod or something?'. I know. I did not WANT to. I want her to SHAADAP.

While working in Mosaic, there was one guy who asked me for 'coffee with hot milk' and look at me like I'm supposed to know what he means. I was about to bite his head off!! It pissed me to no ends when I meet people like these. Coffee with hot milk can be many things machauhai. Cappucino, latte, machiatto?? Which one sirrrrrrrrrrrrr wtf!

And I found out there were quite a few Japanese tourists in Westin. Japanese = English average to bad. I was being nice and trying to ask them if they want any special coffee like cap, latte and so forth. The guy looked at me and eeeeee, aaahhhhhhhh, ohhhhhhhhh.

I HATE HOW I NEVER GET SKIRTS IN MY SIZE NOW. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW SUCH A BIG HOTEL LIKE WESTIN DO NOT EVEN HAVE A SINGLE SIZE 12 SKIRT.

WHAT I FOUND OUT IS THAT ALTHOUGH GUYS CAN BE ASSHOLES WHEN IT COMES TO RELATIONSHIPS (FOR SOME PPL) BUT THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO DO NOT JUDGE AND DISCRIMINATE IN TERMS OF WORK. I LOVE THEM.

ANOTHER THING I LEARNED IS DEFINTIELY HOW TO SURVIVE IN A BITCHY WORKING ENVIRONMENT WHERE PPL THRIVE ON ANOTHER'S HUMILIATION.

New hair colour!

Obviously as the title said, I went for a dye job+ haircut today. It was supposed to be just eye brow waxing but then I was already in a saloon so might as well la.

I chose light copper brown. It sounds ah lian but it's actually quite dark. Will take pictures maybe tomorrow. If I do take pictures.

I like how it looks under yellow light though.

I am going to work in Frasers tomorrow morning after like 3 whole weeks of not going there. Then go home and get ready for Ruby Revue!!!

Dreading next week but I know I'll be up and going by my 2nd shift. Oct and Nov are seriously going to be busy. With quite a few of back to back banquets.

Why I love banquets at times.

- for having funny and nice friends like Julie, Yuli, Sonia, Alkis, Joseph, JK, Matthew and so forth. Today we talked about things we do while sleeping.

Me: You know how in TV, they always show this loving couple in bed and the guy looking lovingly at his gf. I find that is never the case in real-life. Coz we know everyone looks like shit when they are sleeping. Which is also why I sleep with my blankie over my head.

Then yesterday I was folding napkins alone when a guy suddenly hugged me from behind. I froze for 5 seconds and then realised it was JK wtf. After hugging me, he even poked my tummy summore and asked 'What's this?'. What's this??!! My gold pouch la WTF.

He calls me 'Princess' coz he thinks I'm the Princess of Brunei wtf hahahahahahahahahahahah!!!

We were talking and then somehow we ended up with him referring me as the Brunei princess. Remember the congee dinner we had a while back? I was just digging thru the leftover dish for tiny bits of crumbs and whatnots. Jk was like 'Ehh ehh, princess cannot eat leftovers. Order a new dish'. Julie and I burst into fits of giggles.

But he's gonna go back to Korea in late Oct for 3 months to do surgery on his ankle :(((

No more JK moments!! And then I won't start my 5th term with him coz he'll defer his 5th term by 3 months. Haih. Why all the people I like never stay for long one?

Last night we finished at 2.30am. I got home at 3.30am. Went to bed at 4am. Fell asleep at approx 6am FML. Woke up at 9am FML. Went to work at 10am.

We had a 600pax lunch today and it was just doing MEP for the whole day until 7pm.

Then a group of us went for Korean food again. But it was damn good and cheap la. The 7 of us ordered 5 dishes and the bill came up to $12 per head. Where to find in Sydney!

I am really impressed with myself on how I can survived on so little sleep. *proud*

Since Mosaic is busy next week, Andrea sent us banquets girls a text message asking us to give him our morning availability ASAP. I have Mon, Tues and Fri morning free but I only gave him Mon morning coz I want Tues and Fri free. However, he called me for Tues evening shift so I said yes la.

It's ok la. More money ma. I am planning a big purchase too so the money comes in handy.

I have $1,100 held up for tax purposes now. T______________T

I actually have quite a decent amount of money stored all over the place. When I was working with Comosi 2 years back, I had to deduct 5% of my salary every month which is $35 in addition with another $35 my employer had to pay for my TAP. I worked for a year so that makes it $840 I have somewhere in Brunei which I can only get if I live up to 50 or 55 or 60. I dunno.

And here in Australia, I now have $700 from Westin and approx $300 from Frasers in my super fund. Something like a TAP.

That is almost $3000!!!

To date, I have earned approx $11,000 from Westin in 5 months and I have only saved $5,000. *shy*

Let's say $3,500 of that is my living expenses and it means I have spent $2,500 on shopping.

The night I met a magician.

Wtf. Damn kinky/scary eh the title if you think about it.

Last night after my shift in IRD, Keeven asked me to join him for Chat Thai and then Jason also asked me to join him and the others for soju. Since I never went out with them, so I said yes to Jason.

We went to Fusion, this Korean restaurant which opens til like dawn. I had just 2 shots of soju ok. No bluff. Initially it was just Deepak, Sam, Jason and I. Later on, Jason's friend joined us. He just finished work too.

I tot he was just a regular Korean guy. But he is a professional magician for 8 yrs and counting. He showed us some tricks and it was really good. Sam was really impressed and (he was tipsy too) he dragged this guy (I do not know his name hahah) to the other table near us.

Sam is local so he's easily mingle with strangers. Sam was like 'Who's birthday is it today? I have a surprise for you!'. He got the magician to do some tricks for the bday boy.

I think the bday boy is gay coz he was super touchy with Sam and the magician.

I am REALLY losing my motivation to work now. I hate it when the momentum is lost. Like last 2 weeks ago, where I work 7 days a week, the momentum was there and gaining. Then I had the day off and everything went back to square one.

Yeah I'm happy I have the day off coz I was free but then I was TOO free.

I hate how I have to be fake towards some nice people at work. Acting like I'm really happy to be there/to see them when in fact, that's the last place I want to be at.

I feel like a cowboy-indian and loathe myself for that.

I hate the time of my shifts coz I feel like I have no time to do other things instead. It's come back from work, sleep, wake up, shower, eat brunch, go to work. Rinse and repeat.

Guess I'll never be happy with my situation coz I'm just a whinger.

I'm happy and a bit pissed. Happy coz I got to shop and got myself a new tailored shirt from RL. BUT. It is not white. Coz it is not opaque. Loong says it's better to get the striped ones. So I chose green! He bought himself a pair of sneakers from there too.

OK! No more spending! Actually..I need a new dress for next Sun. Well, I already have a new top but still thinking if I shud get a dress instead. We'll see if I can get a dress this week. If not, then I guess I'll go with the top.

On Sat, we had the most horrible weather EVER. It was pouring like nobody's business! Tried to find a parking spot in Bondi's Westfield. Trust me when I say we circled the entire parking ground for 1/2 hour and then when we FINALLY found one, a bitch stole it right in front of our eyes wtf.

Loong already signalled but still she took the space. Mahai. In the end, we siam-ed la.

Was driving around and then I saw buses taking people to the Randwick Racing Course. There was a horse race going on. We have nothign to do also so off we go to the races.

These races are usually social activities for the affluent but normal people like us join too. I was wearing a tank top with jeans while Loong was in his khaki pants and shirt. While others were in suits and pretty dresses like the pic below:


Women were dressed to the nines and men smart in their suits. Although not everyone is well-behaved and courteous if you know what I mean.

We have to pay $35 each to get in the race course. It was packed!

Because it was raining outside so people were all crammed in the betting area. The both of us just went around looking at the screens for a bit and he explained to me what is it about and etc.

After the 5th race, we placed a bet. Looking at the odds, I picked 2 horses. $10 to place, $5 to win on Viking Legend and $5 to place on Gathering.

When you put a certain amount of money to place on a horse, it means as long as the horse comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, u'll win money.

He bet on Bandar and Lovemelikearock. It was supposed to be Southern Skye but we got the number of the horse wrong so which is why we ended up with Lovemelikearock. Whatever. Both horses didn't win anyways HAHAH.

GUESS WHAT?? Both my horses came in 2nd and 3rd place! So I won some money!!! I spent $20 buying the ticket and won $45. So it's alright. Technically, I still lost considering the $35 entrance fee.

Damn kan-cheong ok to see them race!! The position of the horses always changes last minute one. To sit in the course and yell out your horses' numbers is quite fun too.

We parked our car in the middle of the race course and walked underground to get to the stands.

We left after 2 hours. Went to Eastgardens to shop a bit and then decided to cook some seafood tomato soup based noodle for dinner. Bought fresh seafood and it's time to work in the kitchen!!

He is head chef and I am sous chef aka garlic dicer wtf. He knows I hate to touch garlic and he has to give me that task while he cleans the prawns. On second thought, dicing garlic doesn't look that bad.

Cut up bak choy and sliced the fish fillets. He did the squid, scallops and prawns.

Then I found out he has like NO tomato sauce left at home wtf! How to make tomato soup base w/o tomato sauce you tell me!

Luckily we bought a pack of soup base for seafood hotpot and dinner is saved again. Invited Nick and Mizah and Wei Xin too to join us for dinner.

Nick told us that Nena is trying to set Loong up with Suu! OHHHHHHHHH! Nick was like 'Oh Nena...No way, Loong is taken'. *pats Nick's back wtf*

Our seafood noodle is damn nice ok. Downed with Moscato wine which I took 2 sips coz I can't stand wine.

After dinner, Wei Xin and I gossiped in Mandarin at the dining table while the 3 of them watched TV. I know it is very rude but I haven't chat with WX for a long time already and it's weird to speak English with him.

The guests left at like 8.30pm.

I also had the best sleep last night coz I woke up at 6am yesterday and by 10pm, the both of us are exhausted.

Only woke up at 11.30am. Supposed to be 10.30am one!! But we lost one hour due to daylight savings. Haih.

Loong woke up 1/2 hour before me and he couldn't find me because I was beneath the covers HAHAHAHAHAH. That is how I like to sleep. With the blankie over my head. He brushed his teeth and went out to the living room and found no one. He thought I left already. Sohai.

Guys, I might be going to Melbourne in Nov. Loong and Andres are going there to watch Tiger Woods while I'm tagging along just because. But I need someone to go with me otherwise I'm not going. But who?

When I told Loong, he was like 'At least you're thinking of staying in nice hotels. That Andres ah! He was saying we can just set up a tent besides the golf course and sleep there. Damn cheap eh!'.

Andres is the cheapest Colombian EVER.

We'll see. I'm sure the hotels are fully booked by now. Thousands of people will be in Melbourne to watch Tiger Woods too. I have a feeling maybe I won't be going hahah.

Loong told me funny stories about them way back when they were young. Prolly hit some innocent cars in the main road.

And then, they used to make their own WWF belt from paper in Loong's mum's bedroom. Pretended they were some famous wrestlers with the music playing in the background.

Today, we had a exhibition/conference/meeting for the ASAPS which stands for Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

You would expect lotsa pretty looking people because ya know, they are plastic surgeons and nurses therefore they gotta have some work done as well.

But they all looked normal. Boring shit.

However, I saw lotsa silicone/gel boobs on display at the exhibition booths and I touched oone of them. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Damn nice to hold ok! It was totally different from what I had thought it to be. It gave a wittle jiggle when I touched it. So cute!

Now I understand why would soooo many girls opt for boobs enlargement. In one of the catalogue, there was this picture of a girl in a bikini (who obviously did PS) and her boobs look nice tho. It wasn't too big and it made her look so much sexier!

Another booth was displaying all the tools normally used in surgeries. It was so freaking scary ok. There were drills like 30cm long prolly used to drill up someone's nose or something like that. *shudders*

Anyways, Bonnie is very pissed with them coz they are stupid. Like they are all surgeons and doctors, you would think 'oh..sure very smart one' but they are actually very stupid in terms of common sense.

One tall blonde lady managed to find her way to the back of house and ask for directions to the front of house. Firstly, Bonnie asked her how did she get to the back of house in the first place. The lady said 'I don't know'. Ok.

Then Bonnie gave her a very clear and detailed directions on how to get there and she just retorted her with a 'I don't know!'.

Adam then told her the same thing and she said the same thing again. The lady refused to listen and we think she expects someone to hold her by her plastic hand and lead her to the front of house.

In the end, one of the chefs beh tahan already and walked with her to FOH.

Today was a very relaxed and simple day. We didn't even do much except for polishing glasses which is the easiest job in banquets.
