is how much my past week was worth.

After working my ass off for 6 days straight, I earned $1,400 (after tax dammit). Woooooots!

But I will save it and try to curb my spending because having lotsa money in my bank account makes me giddy :))))))))))

It has been 3 days since my last post and I have already worked 20 hours. 12 of them are public holiday rates YATAH! WTF.

This morning right I was so pissed off because I couldn't find my pants in my size. I usually wear 14 but 12 is fine as well (if I really have to). Today, there was none of those sizes!! I was flipping thru the racks of pants like mad until I found one size 14 in the size 16 side. In addition, the lift took forever to come and that cut into my breakfast time.

Not good. I couldn't even muster up a smile for Walter although he tells me to smile always because 'I look very pretty when I smile'. Gawd, how not to love this man?

Anyway, I seriously wanted a day off tomorrow because it was already my 9th day straight in Mosaic. I was so over the whole shit. Then Andrea decided to send Jenny and I home at 12pm so we can come back to do the 6pm shift :((((((

I don't want to do evening shift anymore. Well good news coz Keeven called and said I will not be doing the evening Mosaic shift instead I will be going to Lobby Bar. YES!

Thank God :D

AND! I also picked up some Lobby Bar shift for the next 3 days. Thurs - 2pm, Fri - 2pm and Sat - 12pm (public holiday!).

Dayum! Imma be so rich....I dunno how to stop smiling wtf.

I was wrong. I don't need a day off. I need a change of work environment. Therefore Lobby Bar will a good change for me.

I am still looking for a TV but I have narrowed my options down to a few. Will try to get them as soon as I have the time. Excited :)

6 days and counting.

First of all, a merry Xmas!!! to whoever is still reading this.

I had a good and weird Xmas. Was working 10 hours in Mosaic :( and spent 15 minutes in a hotel room with an old man.

EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Before you jump to conclusions, the old man is Chef Sammy whom we all have grown to call 'Papa'. Papa is your average short 60 year old man with white hair and a round belly. He was Santa for Xmas brunch.

He had to go to room 118 to change into his Santa suit. He did not know how to get there without walking past the customers so I had to bring him down to lobby, take stairs up to level 1 and finally we got into the room.

I wanted to leave but he asked to stay. So I did. We talked a bit about his family and I watched Nickleodeon on the TV. Finally left when I had to go back to the office to get his Santa shoes.

At first it was weird ass. OK. Like it was a bit awkward but then I think to myself, it's Papa. And then I was enjoying the fact that I am getting paid to watch TV on a Xmas rate. Hell yeah. I earned $450 just on Xmas day ok.

Xmas brunch was crazy. All the guests paid $225.00 each for the buffet and they get seafood and all that shit. I wanted to vomit everytime I go outside because of the fishy stench. Eww.

Today is my 6th day working straight with no day off. Am working tomorrow and Tues as well (both days public holiday rate which means I get $45 an hour YEAH)

Working has been same ol same ol for me. I am only doing early hours as opposed to my times in banquets where I usually start at 4pm or 5pm and finish at 2 or 3am. I have been waking up at 5 or 6am every morning to start work at 7am.

And every morning is the same. Wake up, shower, makeup, hair, reach Westin, get change into uniform, eat breakfast and flirt with Walter, start my shift, continuous flirting with Walter throughout the day wtf, lunch break, work again and sign off. If I have Lobby Bar shift, then I quickly change into Lobby Bar uniform and work again.

Such is the working life but hey I ain't complaining when I see my bank account next week :)

This morning I started at 9am which is a bit later than my usual 7am. Breakfast was busy yadda yadda yadda and lunch was super quiet. Since I started at 9am, I thought Andrea/Lucy was going to send me home because that's what they usually do.

It's weird I know but that's how they work. Usually the early starters such as 6am and 7am will do the full shift and 8am or 9am starters will get to finish early. Sometimes they change it but depends.

For some reason, I never get to go home early oneeeee! If I start at 7am, I finish 4 or 5pm. If I start at 9am, I finish 5 or 6pm. What is this!!!!

On Xmas day, Andrea sent the late starters home at 3pm while I had to stay back until 5pm and I started at 7am! If there is a definition for FML, I'm it.

Definition of FML - stands for 'Fuck My Life' or in short Lesley Woon.

Not being ungrateful or anything la....since it's Xmas and I get paid double to do the same job. Anyways, I'm so used to working long hours now I think I'm going to continue this until this weekend(if there are shifts Wed, Thurs and Fri).

Where was I again? Oh yeah..today's lunch was quiet. The 7am starters signed off at 12pm (see what I mean??) so Ryan and I were just folding napkins at BOH. I was thinking maybe we will get to go home at 2pm which is awesome since I get to go shopping. But 2pm came and nothing. 2.30pm still nothing. Suddenly Lucy called out to me and said 'Lesley, Lobby Bar just got busy. Can you go down to help for a while?'.

And I helped until 3.30pm. While Ryan has prolly signed off at 3pm.

Well, it doesn't matter because I still managed to spend $200 in 1 hour. Which is alright considering that's what I earned working today.

Got 2 polos (sorry I only buy these polos during sales because they are like 25-30% cheaper) as I need something with sleeves to cover my armpits if I decide to not wax them just yet wtf. Bought a bustier top with sweetheart neckline. Been looking for that forever.

The city was just crazy. You see people queuing up outside Burberry, Tag Heuer, Ralph Lauren, Swarovski, Myers, David Jones, Bally, Coach, Oroton and all the big names. Which is weird because I don't remember these stores offering like crazy discounts or anything. I didn't join the shopping craze. I just happened to see them because Westin is just next to all these designer stores.

Anyways, I foresee more shopping in the next few days because I am looking for 2nd hand LCD TV and new PS3 games!! Woots!

I need to work more.

Like seriously. The amount of shifts I have right now is not even enough. I need more.

I was right partially in my last post about Friday. It's not either Mosaic or LB that has one staff short but BOTH Mosaic and Lobby Bar. And guess who's coping it? Me.

I start at 7am again tomorrow morning and continue at Lobby Bar at 2pm. Might finish at about 6 or 7pm.

It's my 4th back to back shifts in a row now. I would feel weird if Lobby Bar did not ask me to work on both Sat and Sun.

Anyways, since I have been working so hard, I figured it's time to spend some money. I just bought a PS3 for my bro as a Xmas present!!

I am thinking of getting a camera for myself but not quite sure if I really really really want it. Will definitely brag here if I got myself anything news-worthy wtf.

Edit: Score!! I just got another Mosaic public holiday shift on the 27th at 8am! Ahh..life is good right now :)

After Sun's outing, I only had Monday off and have been working ever since. Actually it's only Wed today but I already know my shifts until the end of this week so >.>

I don't know if this is worse than last year or what but I have been doing back to back shifts in two departments in one day two days in a row now. Tomorrow will be my third day :(

Here's my roster times.

Tues (Walter's bday!): 1-4.30pm (Lobby Bar), 6-9pm (Mosaic)
Wed: 8-10am (Mosaic), 10am-4pm (Lobby Bar)
Thu: 7am-11.30am (Mosaic), 12pm-3pm (Lobby Bar)
Fri: Not sure yet but I'm pretty sure either LB or Mosaic are gonna be 'short on one staff" and I'm coping it wtf.
Sat: 7am (Mosaic)
Sun: 9am (Mosaic)

Sat and Sun is probably going to be another 5-6 hours and maybe I am required to do Lobby Bar again after who knows.

Andrea told me to do as much hours as I possibly can because it will be busy but after New Year's, it will be quiet. So here I am working hard. Thank God I am able to see my love at work everyday too <3 size="5">YES

I know the hours doesn't seem much but for some reason, everytime I work in other departments besides banquets I tire easily. Doing a 7 hours shift in Mosaic feels like 12 hours. In banquets I can do 12 hours and still be super alert. In Mosaic, I was like a dead dog.

P/P/S: My mum sent my brother and I some money the other day because she and my dad won 7 grand in the lottery and I spent it all already :(

Westin's Xmas Party Bollywood Night 2010

The title is too formal. Anyways, just like any other event, the best part of the event is preparing for it. Get this, get that. Buy this, buy that.

Not saying the party was boring, it was actually heaps fun. 100 x better than last year's. We had awesome Indian food and Indian desserts. We also had dancers from the Indian Dancing Society (something like that) to perform for us.

Not to say I was being a pessimist but a few days before the event, I had a feeling that it would rain on Sun before the party and IT DID! Like what the fuck mate! The entire week it was sunny and warm up til Sunday 6pm. Just as I was about to leave the apartment, it started to pour like a motherfucker!

FML. So I had to take a taxi. Wasted money pfft.

I had my makeup done at Kit Cosmetics at Myers. It was $45 redeemable which means you get to choose the products they used in your makeover up to the amount of $45. But I paid $85 coz the loose powder I choose was already $85 wtf.

The makeup girl taught me how to draw my eyeliner properly since I have a "hidden" double eyelid on my left eye. She also gave me a sample of Origins Make a Difference Treatment gel. It is a hydrating gel and it is SOO good! I am going to buy a jar of that shit.

So here is the end result of my makeover. She used a dark shimmery purple on outer lid and bronzy gold on inner lid. Thick eyeliner, put one one coat of glittery gel on top of liner and mascara.
It was my fault. I thought my sari was a deep purple but then I got home and realised it was sorta more on magenta. Opps >.>

Got there at about 6.45pm. Pre-dinner drinks.

It was boring tho. Went there at 3pm and went home by 4.30pm.

I am working tomorrow evening, Xmas morning and Boxing Day morning. Can't wait *sarcasm
