In a crisis!

Edit: Oh my fucking gawd. I just realised a huge part of what I wrote in this post just disappeared. And I am too lazy to rewrite it. Lucky you!

Warning: Extremely long pointless post just because I am trying to keep myself awake. Pictures at the bottom!

My sponsorship exam was yesterday morning. It was alright. I thought out of the 100 marks I can possibly get 75 marks if what I thought was right, IS right wtf.

There was one question on crisis management worth 10 marks! I couldn't answer it at all. Like there was nothing in my head that I can possibly link to that.

"Taking advertising to children legal restriction as an example, state 5 more concerns you would need to consider if the crisis was at a children's event".

WTF.

As for right now, I still d0 not understand that question and have no answer haih. There's nothing wrong with the sentence structuring or grammar right? Cos my lecturer is severely dyslexic.

I am NOT joking ok. She is. She 's very pretty (south african), nice and all but she is dyslexic.

But even if there was a mistake or whatever, I think I can pretty much guess what the question wants. After referring to my notes, I still don't get it.

*wears 'dumb' cone*

FAIL.

*****

And after my exam, I went home and quickly typed a one-page letter on my learning outcomes for my EVT233 lecturer.

She requested one from me and it was just me. Dayum! Am I that bad of a student?? Fark.

******

My nap was cut short from 2 hours to 30 minutes because the flatmate shouted 'LESLEY!' outside the room and woke me up. Why?

There was no electricity.

OMG.

Seriously.

No electricity?? Holy shit! We're all gonna die, aren't we??? *sarcasm*

F.

It was 3 in the afternoon. They did not have internet, awwwwwww. Bless their souls. How in the world did they survive 1 hour without internet? Beats me.

I had to walk out the my unit and check the corridor to see if it was just our unit or the whole apartment. It was the whole apartment.

And I went back to sleep. But too late. I have been awake far too long to get back in bed now.

At 4.30pm, left home to World Square. Need to do some grocery and personal shopping before working in Mosaic at 6pm.

I went back to check my shoes. Apparently, it wasn't the right shoes!! The nude one I saw was a pair of hooker heels. Dammit!!

Damn disappointed! So I went to PaperScissors and got myself a cream-coloured cardigan. They were having a sale too!!

On to the auntie stuffs that I bought: clothes peg coz the ones at home are always missing. Do these people eat them? I have bought several packs before and now they are all gone. Jesus Christ! I bought garbage bags too :(( coz we had none left! Since the landlord have always used the lavender scented bags, I purposely switched to the lemon-scented ones.

Lugged all that shit to Westin and stuffed them in my locker. Work was a'ight. Got $10 cash as tips.
Rego table for ICMS Alumni Dinner.

Networking 'tree' geddit?

The Asian Night market which was going on outside at the same time as our event.

One morning, I woke up to a very foggy Sydney. And this is what I saw at the Circular Quay. It was like the movie 'The Fog' all over except in daytime. You're supposed to see the Sydney Harbour Bridge but obviously not in this pic.
A pic of our Thai meals which is half eaten and look a bit digusting. Eric graduated and will be in Perth with his gf until June when he goes back to Brunei for good. It'll be my turn soon!!
I went to UNSW with the guys and stayed overnight at their unit. Their uni damn cool ok. This is their common kitchen. So clean and modern.
Oh. That's me camwhoring ahahhahahaha!!! See my $10 floral dress from Cotton On. I only bought it becoz it was $10. Otherwise I'll pass. And my white Valleygirl jacket! Look a bit different right. Because I can't hook it up (tummy doesn't allow that).
And you can see my hair is very long now and I am shedding wtf.
Not my closet.
Unit 126's weight management LOL!
Jia Wei's room.
My banquets uniform.

Work work work work work is all I'm gonna do this holiday. In fact, IRD has already booked my times for the next 2 weeks.

Efficiency yo.

Edit: MAJOR NEWS GUYS!! Mr Pawson send another email to us and said there was a mistake in calculating the marks for the pitch and that all the marks are increased. FARK!

So now, my pitch is actually a distinction! WOOOOOOOOTS! But proposal is still a credit. WHich is fine! Therefore, I might be able to score a final D in my Marketing with 80%!

Oh-emm-gee!

So you know. The other day. I was finishing my supposedly 50-page assignment.

When I was at page 35, I found out that actually only 20-30 pages were required.

FML.

After using Sunday afternoon, the whole Monday afternoon/night and Tues afternoon which totals to 24 hours, I came up with a 39 page assignment. Which I hope to get at least 65%. Hey! Although it was super last minute but I had 39 pages so there is definitely useful information ok.

Actually on second thought, my event might have been too OTT. Ahhh fark!

Pris pris pris pris pris lemme score at 60% la. I worked very hard on it ok.

I was maximising my concentration level like nobody's business! Only stopping to eat and like random 10mins of FB and stuff. Yeah.

********

I finished my assignment at 7pm and started on my Marketing revision.

Thank God our lecturer gave us the questions to the exam (I KNOW RIGHT!! WHAT KIND OF UNI GIVES QUESTIONS TO STUDENTS BEFORE THE EXAM ONE! )

He gave us all the 7 short answer questions he will put in the exams and told us to study for it (So if I don't get good marks, feel free to bash me here and call me stupid wtf). But the MCQs and case study we have to study everything la.

Eh. I am not lousy student ok. I still studied everything from the textbook which by 1am was the time I decided to go to bed as I have been looking at words and words for 12 hours.

But I couldn't sleep. All those marketing terms were bouncing around in my head.
You know how some screensavers have those ball thingy that bounces around in the monitor?
That's exactly how it was in my head. Except with one ball, I got like a gazabillion balls.

Haih.

I got the results back from my Marketing Pitch. Our team scored Credit for both pitch and proposal therefore it means we have a minimum of 32.5 out of the 50 points. Which translate to 32.5% that I already have. Hence I will need to 42.5% equating to 85% in my final marketing exam to get a Distinction.

Fark!!! To be honest, I think I can get 80% for the exam but 85% hmm I dunno. If my final mark is 74.5% which is 0.5% to a D, I will fucking kill someone ok.

Can't feel my feet -.-

I have always talked/complained about how I have to work on Fri/Sat/Sun and yet I only have 20 hours per week to spare.

How in the world can I manage like 3 shifts into 20 hours when one shift is on average 7-8 hours? How can I worked so much and yet, not have the immigration dept deport my ass back to Brunei?

The answer is I do not know as well.

Sometimes it feels like I have worked about 40 hours but in reality, it's like 15 hours. Maybe I'm just not cut out to work continuously anymore. Unlike last year, where 100 hours per fortnight is the norm. Ohhhh how I miss..................................the money. WTF.

Nah..Money is pretty good right now. I read Dragon's Chinese zodiac for this year and apparently, money is looking quite good throughout the year. Well, for me tho.

Working my 20 hrs allows me to pay for rent, food, transport without asking more from my dad. And go shopping!!!

Am waiting to go the next trip coz I saw a number of stores having massive crazy sales. Hopefully it will still go on after my sponsorship exam on Thursday :)))

I saw a pair of nude/tan kitten heels for $30 or $50 and I want it!! Dirt cheap ok!!

Gah!!

******

I have a confession to make. I did not do my assignment last night. Instead I was working in IRD. Yesterday lorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...........

I finished work at 12pm, reached at 12pm+ and straight away start on my assignment already. Even tho I was so fucking tired I cannot even walk properly wtf.

At around 2pm+, I received a call from Westin. It was Ronald from Mosaic asking if I can work that night. I said 'NO' right.....but Ron was like 'Ok laaaa, can laaaa. You don't have to do floorcheck, just work until 10 or 10.30 then u can go home'. So I said yes :((((((

Luckily I was able to finish 5 pages of my assignment by 4pm and took an hour's nap before rushing to Westin otherwise I will collapse on the spot ok.

The worst thing is that I have to wake up at 5am the next day to work in Frasers mah! And for some stupid reason (like I said, my life is fucked), last night was particularly busy for a Sunday! Usually we do 30 covers on a Sunday and last night, we did 97 covers!

FUCK THIS SHIT!!! And worse is, one guy wrote $40 as tips on the docket!! $40! Give cash mahhhh..can or not!! Damn potong steam one!

At 10pm, Micheal came to me with his mahai puppy sad face and begged me to stay until 11pm because 'there is still so much to do'. What can I say? NO? Luckily he did not break his promise and send me on floorcheck otherwise I will kill him or force him to put my name as employee of the month wtf.

So I stayed. As soon as it was 11pm, I quickly signed off and zoomed to the bus stop with Christy for the 11.15pm bus. Otherwise, we have to wait another 20 minutes wtf.

And it's another 5 hours until I have to wake up again to work.

Such is life.

Sat: 5am-1pm, 4.30pm-1am
Sun: 5am-1pm, 6pm-11pm
Mon: 5am-12.30pm (PH)

Yes, I exceeded 20 hours for this week but Tania says it's fine because our payslip is every 2 weeks. I was like '????'.

KA-CHING!!! WTF.

Lemme log on to Yesstyle to buy that pink jacket k....muahahahhaha! Ok not.

It probably does not have my size anyway.

I'm at page 10 now!

How to write 'die' in Chinese?

I am working tonight, tomorrow morning and Mon morning (which is a public holiday).

I do not want to work on Monday one bah! Coz I am in so deep of a shit you have no idea.

But Shaaban kept on saying it's public hols, good money, good money, good money and I said yes wtf.

And then he wanted me me to work Tues too! But I lied and said I have an exam. Which is partly true.

I need to study for my exam on Tues.

Did I tell you I have a 50 page assignment due on the same day as my Marketing exam which is in 4 days time? And I'm currently at page 1.

FML.

Haih. If I am working on a another public holiday, I'll get the pink jacket :)

Don't cry..

Weeks and weeks of lectures, tutorials and practice.

All boiled down to one final marketing pitch.

Which we completely trashed today.

Aww.

Part of me wants to blame her, part of me pities her.

I'm sure she wants a good grade as much as we all do but she might have brought this upon herself.

My team leader for the Marketing group is Maddie and she has been doing most of the marketing plan and pitch. Another girl, Angela is really pissed at her coz Maddie is sorta like a 'dictator' but in a nice way.

Hence, I said part of me wants to blame her. She just tells you what she wants and you have to do it. 9 times out of 10, she just shoots down people's idea because she 'thinks' hers is better. Oh well. Whatever.

But I also admit that none of the other team members including me actually start paying attention to this pitch until it was 2 weeks too late. Really.

I had to skip my last sponsorship class to work on the pitch with the team last night. Fast forward to this morning.

We were ready to go. And we were supposed to test all our AV stuff before presenting. But we didn't.

1st blow - Maddie could not access her email account which has the powerpoint slides for the presentation.

Once this happened, I could just see Maddie breaking down inside. But she is a strong girl. I have seen her present and she is a quick thinker.

She introduced us and Alex continued. Alex sounded fine during practice but at the pitch, she was just inaudible most of the time and stuttered. Angela followed, she did a wonderful job. No need for cue card or anything.

Then it was my turn. I thought I was pretty smooth when practicing but I did stammered for a bit there.

Maddie then concluded our pitch. However, she could not find her conclusion on her card. She kept on flipping the cards over and over again for like 15 secs and nothing. That's when I saw tears in her eyes. She gave up and just said 'So I hope you enjoyed our pitch. Thank you'.

I feel so sad for Maddie. Yeah, she's not a very good leader but there is no reason why I want her to cry or anything.

There were 7 judges. Some asked questions while some of them gave feedback.

These are what they have to say about us.

Good - "First of all, we really like the signature dish. It was very innovative and interesting."

Bad - "Your pitch was alright but you need to work on the consistency more. And the worst of all, is that you all looked pissed to be here. That's very negative to start with. No one smiled. No one looked happy to be here"

I don't usually get this so just let me kambang a bit here ok. When it was Chris Harris's turn to give a feedback, he actually said he enjoyed our presentation and that he thought I was the most enthusiastic speaker and the best one there.

Holy mother of god!

Me? Good in speaking? No fucking way....................*puts on fake suprised face*

HAHAHAHHAHAH!!!

And the best part is that even Matthew Meyer agrees. You know how freaking strict is that dude? He was the one who gave the 'you look pissed' comment.

Yeah!! Lesley has achieved another thing in her life. Being a 'good' speaker.

*flares nostrils*

WTF.

Anyway, as soon as we left the room, Maddie burst into tears. Tsk.

I feel so bad but I don't know how to comfort her because I don't know her that much.

I would hope we can get a decent grade but then I'll need to fucking ace my final exam. Boo.

********

I had this dream like 2 times already.

In my dream, I woke up and sit upright on my bed. The first thing I always do when I sit up is to look at my thighs (if there are more cellulite/fatter/thinner/whatever). And I saw for that morning, my thighs were horrible. Cellulite covered everything and I thought "Dayum! Must cut back down on IndoMee".

However, on closer inspection, my thighs are actually covered with white dots. Each dot about 1cm apart from the next one.

I look closer. These dots are moving. They are wriggling very hard. After staring at them for like 1 min, I realised there were baby maggots trying to get out.

I shrieked and woke up for real. WTF.

*********

I finished True Blood season 2. Godric is dumb for a 2000yr old vampire.

If you wanna die, write a note or something dude. Don't let Sookie or whoever put their lives in danger to save your ass, just so that you can expose yourself to the sun in the end.

Goddamit.

Guys. I take back my words. Eric Northman is getting hotter. I think it's the hair. The previous ones sucked ass.
He looks so much cuter with short hair.

As for Bill, I dunno why his skin is getting very pasty. They need a new make-up artist pronto.

Which brings me back to a sex scene in season 1, the 'I thought you were dead' sex. Bill climbed out from underground grabbed Sookie by the ankle. They hugged and started banging each other like whatever.

All I could think of was 'Oh-em-gee! She had dirt in her vajayjay now. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew.'.

Yeah >.>

I can haz fashion!

Hey y'all. AGAIN.

I came across another shopping website through Facebook :)

It's called Sense of Fashion. Basically it sells everything from one-off designer pieces (sample) to quirky stuff to vintage to whatever.

I personally don't like most of the things they sell there but there are some nice pieces too. Call me tasteless if you want but I just kinda prefer other things.

However, it's still a fun site to browse through.

If you are the kind of person who can appreciate this jacket, then you'll like this site.
They sell accessories too. Telescope necklace.
This neck ruff thingy. If you are attending a costume party.
Below are some of the things I kinda like.

Vintage Marilyn Monroe T-shirt.
A designer tartan dress. It's size 10-12. My size!! But I would drown in this dress coz I'm short.
Some black evening gown.
Blue peacock sweater.
Vintage 80s sweater.
This coat is so cute!! But $200 oh... :(
This is a designer piece too. From Chloe.
Orange coat!! So cute!

Hope you enjoy the pictures! Go to that site to look-see if you're bored :)
You'll enjoy it!

Domesticated.

Hey y'all.

I've had a busy week. So let's start with Friday. The event went very well, the client was happy however at the debriefing, accusations were thrown around the room and fingers were pointing at all directions. A bit of a let down there. It's not sorted yet. We'll have another debriefing on Wed morning.

Then Sat I did nothing at all. I asked the day off from work and was meant to start on my sponsorship assignment but decided to sleep the day away instead. Woke up at 12pm, online and then back to sleep at 4pm. Which sucks because then I forgot I need to wake up at 5am on Sun to go to work at 6am.

Work on Sun was painstakingly slow. 7-7.45am, not a single person came in. Then at 7.45am, we get 5 tables coming in at the same time. 15 mins later, they left and the restaurant was empty again. Lek and 1 spent the free time talking and finding stuff to do. Lek is a casual too but she only comes in like once or twice a month when we really need people. She's Thai but married a local.

She recently gave birth to a baby boy late last year. She showed me pics of her baby. Damn cute!! Mixed babies are never ugly. Oh wait...Some might be. Depends on what nationalities wtf.

There was one pic of her boy dressed in pink.

Lek: I see that my baby has very pink skin so I dressed him in pink also. I showed my husband and he said "Noooooooooo!! My baby is not gay....".
Me: LOL.

Why their sense of humour liddat one??

I told Shaaban I have to volunteer in ICMS for one of our class events and since it was quiet, he sent me home at 10am. Which is marvelous as it allows me to go home, take a shower and off I go to Manly again.

So at 1pm, there I was in ICMS volunteering for Hope for Tomorrow. It's one of the events organised by another group of students in our class. Since we are in the class, even though it is not our event, we still need to help out to get our participation marks. FTS.

This other girl and I had to walk around in the hot sun carrying a bucket of drinks selling them. Not so glamourous ah..

Anyway, doesn't matter coz I got free food and drinks so it's alright. By 3pm, off I go again back to the city to get ready for my 6pm shift in Mosaic. Micheal called me up at 12.30am on Saturday night to ask if I can work on Sun because they are 'desperate' already.

Of coz I said yes. Reached home at 4.15pm and quickly washed, dry and iron my hair, ate a bit of food and I'm out again at 5pm.

I expected to work in IRD instead I was the runner. Damn! I just washed my hair la!! Now it smells like kitchen again. FTS.

Finished work at 11.30pm, reached home at 12am. I was actually really really tired to the point of collapsing but I have to iron my uniform for Monday. After doing that, I decided to clean the living room and kitchen, seeing the state of mess they are in. And it wasn't even my mess! I just can't take it. Disgusting bunch of pigs.

So there I was, scrubbing the stove, wiping the counter, emptying the rubbish bin and sweeping the floor from 12 to 1 in the freaking morning!

However, my week is not finished yet! I have to wake up at 6.45am on Monday morning to travel that extra hour to Dee Why. I gotta return the runners we rented for Friday's dinner.
Once I return the runner, I had to rush back to Manly again to attend my 10am Marketing lecture.

On my way back to Manly, I took a 139 bus that says 'Manly'. It arrived in Manly alright..but it took me to Freshwater and Curl Curl as well. Which is a good thing because I saw the prettiest stretch of beach ever in my whole life. Even Bondi and Manly Beach pales in comparison.

Maybe it was the perfect weather and all, but it was so gorgeous. It was absolutely empty (maybe because it's a Monday morning) and the water has the prettiest shade of blue. I think that place is called Harbord or something. I will definitely go back there again. During my school hols..!

Now I have to go to Coles to get mould killer, carpet cleaner and toilet paper for the apartment T____T

Robert had better get me plenty of souvenirs from Thailand and Poland otherwise I will fucking kill him!

Fucking pissed ok.

Just want to rant.

"Hello Vicki, I know this is a long email but I really want you to read this please. First of all, I’m not trying to be rude to you and you can correct me if you think I am wrong. I feel like I really need to say this because all my team members were visibly upset after Friday’s episode.

First of all, you said 9 times out of ten, we the events people are expected to polish and setup. However, having worked in nearly a hundred of banquets held in a 5-star hotel, none of the events people that came in did any of that. The events people walked in 3 hours before their event starts and everything was done. It was all done by the banquets people. That’s what the banquets department is for. And that was the role the hospo staffs were for Friday night. If the reason the hospo staffs are not supposed to do the setup because we did not pay them, then that answers everything. But don’t say that we’re supposed to deal with all the banquets logistic because that’s just not how it is out there. I believe it should have been their responsibility because if these hospo staffs go into IT expecting to just turn up on the day with everything done, they will have a hard time in their IT. The events team are not paid to organise this event because it is part of our learning environment and the same goes for the hospo staffs. Doing the setup and clearing is part of their learning course and I am shocked they think that just because ‘they are not paid’, it is not their responsibility.

There definitely is a distinction between hospo and events. That’s why our core subjects are different. Throughout Term 1 and 2, the hospo students underwent training in a number of dinners and worked in kitchen to gain experience while the events students had all their subjects in classes about event planning and all. I’m sure all lecturers are aware of the units in ICMS.

Secondly, none of us ever said we do not want to clear/serve or ‘do the dirty work’. We were all prepared to work hard and get our hands dirty on this event. The guys did all the heavy carrying and the girls worked hard with the cutlery and decorations and admin stuffs. At one point, I seriously didn’t think we can have everything done by 6pm and we certainly would not, if Andy had not brought in the whole Marketing department to help us. They are our client and they did not have to do it. For this, I am SO grateful to them and will find a way to thank them. Paul had Bim and Gisele to help us and as always they are awesome.

During the dinner, it was not just Henrietta who helped with clearing. All the girls helped too. And the girls did so much during bump in. Like you have told us earlier on, this is not a bitchfest. But sometimes there are things that only the people in the events team know. Henrietta was largely absent throughout the bump in session. Paul, Jamie and John carried in all the tables and staging. Liz, Paul and I dealt with the decorations, I brought in all the items from functions storage, the Marketing dept with the Evented girls minus Henrietta polished everything. Daniela and Jamie went out to get items we needed and flowers for Anne Marie. Henrietta kept on asking Liz ‘What am I supposed to do?’ when Paul had clearly drawn up a list of ‘who’s doing what’ on that day. The only thing Henrietta polished was a few forks and every time she said ‘she has to do something downstairs’. There was nothing much to do downstairs at that time at least according to our runsheet.

And that so-called supervisor named Danial who thinks ‘it is not his job to do this, do that’, why is he there in the first place? Paul could have easily assigned one of us to replace him. That way, we wouldn’t be just standing around like he pointed out. Jamie did an absolutely wonderful job at the bar especially when it was his first time. Danial was going on about how we had no system whatsoever on how the beverage flow is like. A few weeks before the dinner, we confirmed with Melissa on the amount of beverage to order and she was alright with the number we gave her. I gave Nina our beverage numbers so she can order them and I was told that the college has some stock at hand and we can always use them if we run out as long as we record the number and pay them. And this supervisor is now complaining about how we are short on beers and all? Confusing.

We all helped the hospitality staffs with clearing. It wasn’t directly our job but we still did. But to do that and still be crucified for it, that’s a bit uncalled for. We may not be as experienced as you are , Vicki but if we knew the functions dept was going to wash their hands clean and go ‘It’s not our job to prepare this’, don’t you think Paul would have got us to get everything ready to go by Thursday? The team is not a bunch of lazy students who think that we are somehow entitled or anything. We just wished we were told earlier on so preparations can be made.

The only fault on our part is not confirming with the function manager on our respective tasks and expecting a 5-star service from functions when it clearly is not.

I firmly stand by my team and can say that on Friday, we were performing at 100%. Everyone knew what they were doing and with the extra stuffs to do, they were working even harder. We took everything we learned from the golf day and make sure we nail this event. Paul has been an exceptional leader for this entire event from start to finish and we were all in this together as a team."

No offense to hospo people ok.

Fuck my life AHH!

I had the longest Wed and Thurs ever. Stayed over at Kim's and Simone's and had a early day in school.

First, my ICMS Alumni Dinner is coming up which is tomorrow (yeah! no more events!) and then we are done.
We are all busy putting the finishing touches to the event and finalising everything.

Secondly, I have my sponsorship assignment to be done by Week 12 which is 2 weeks away. Ok la. I'll have time to start on that since I have asked for Sat off from work.

Today was horrible. Since I'm in charge of decors for the dinner, I had to deal with EVERYTHING! Including picking up and all that shit. I had to take 2 buses to pick up the 15 runners from Romeo's Chair, a event decorating company.

I am always impressed at how someone who is usually very social and quick in thinking becomes dumb all of a sudden when it comes to money.

I specifically told Andy (our contact person/client) yesterday in our meeting that I would need $225 for the runners when I pick them up today. He agreed and said the marketing dept would have a check ready from the accounts dept.

Long story short, I was kicked to 3 different people (all whom are dumbasses pretending they have no idea abt this) and still no money.

In the end, I was fucking pissed and told Andy I would use my own money to pay first then claim it back from ICMS.

If they do not pay me back, I will fucking bring this up to the GM. In fact, I will. Not about them not paying me back. But about how incompetent his staffs are.

Maybe I came at the wrong time (during their lunch break) but that is not an excuse. If the check is ready to go, it doesn't matter if the staffs are on lunch break. Just give it to me and that's it. No need for whatsoever approval or signature.

Oh shit, the more I think about it, the more pissed I am. I will write that email to Mr Prestipino.

*********

I only reached my apartment at 5pm. Straight away started working on my marketing pitch and by 7pm, I'm out again to buy some groceries and stuffs for tomorrow's event.

I bought quite a few items lately and they have all been sitting in my closet with the tags still ON.

That's one bad habit I have. I tend to leave it on until I have to wear the items.

That's what happen with my new jeans. It wasn't my initial intention to wear it tonight but I just wanted to try it on for a bit before changing into something else.

However, after wearing it for a few minutes I decided to stick with it. The problem is, I forgot the tags are all still attached!

Hence, cue a stupid girl running around Sydney with her new jeans and the TAGS!

Now everyone knows what size is that and where I bought it. Aihhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I only realised it when I caught a glimpse of my own reflection and was surprised to see a tag attached to my ass. Luckily, my shirt was long enough to cover the tag. Otherwise, I'll just have to pretend I do not know anything and do the walk of shame *kua kua kua*

FML.

What a bad day!

***********

I bought the Season 2 of True Blood! From Gumtree Sydney. I looked in Ebay but there were kinda expensive.

I found this guy selling the complete season 2 for $25 only but the picture he provided shows the disc cover a bit pirated one.

Oh fuck, who am I kidding? It was COMPLETELY pirated to the point it wassn't even Anna Paquin on the cover. It was some chick who resembles her. WTF.

Hence, I had to confirm with the guy if it was the original series. He said yes and so I paid for it.

Luckily, it was indeed the original series. Just the cover damn potong steam one. WIll upload a pic if I can. Next time.

Now I have to shower, do my hair, prepare for tomorrow and sleep!!

It's casual business attire at college tomorrow!

Yesstyle

I dunno if many others have already stumble across this website but I just did. I saw it on Facebook advertisement columns and I had the funnest time online window-shopping! The items are all so cute, i just want to buy everything!

Basically, it's a website that sells stuff from HK, Korea, China, Japan and Taiwan. The items range from $30 to $150.

They have shoes, bags, clothes and all girly things! SO if you are into the K or J Fashion, you might be interested!

Let's start on a few items.

Jackets!
I would wear the above jacket with other colours obviously like grey (boring!) but she pulls it off because she is skinny.

The thing I hate about online shopping is how fucking delusional it can make you. Like when you see a shirt you really like, you try to imagine yourself in that shirt. But the problem is instead of imagining YOURSELF in that shirt, you imagine yourself to be THE MODEL instead. At least that's what always happen to me FTW.

And hence, you click 'purchase' thinking you'll actually look just as good as the model. When it arrives and you try it on, that's when you are pulled back into reality coz the only thing running in your mind is 'Ehhhhh, how come so different one?????'.

No, you weren't conned by the website. You 'conned' yourself.

Damn you, 38 inches ass!

All these items are from various 'names' (coz I dun think they qualify as a brand?).

This one below is nice right! It's like Au$80.

Lace cropped jacket.

Moving on to shoes!
Red ankle heels. Honestly, all these shoes are only good to look at but I would not buy them to wear because it hurts just by looking at them. Picture yourself walking 3km in these shoes??

Yeah. Me too.
Cute boots.

This is a funny one. It looks adorable, you know. Pair this up with a cute knit dress and cute beret. A pretty snow maiden in Russia. Oooooooo.

But I thought it looks like a pair of testicles hanging from the shoes. *shakes head*

All the boots are like $60-$100. I say it's a decent price.

Mmmmm. So pretty!
Then we have sneakers!

These are from HVBAO. No idea on the name chosen and it's like 'Made in China'. Each pair goes for $30-$50. So cheap!

Cows!
Snow maiden with polar bear wtf.
Twins.

I like to own a pair of sneakers one day but I am unsure if it'll be put to good use. Maybe it's a 'wear one time only' thing. Even if I do get one, it'll prolly be the good-all Converse coz they are relatively cheap and do not look dated.

There are even babies' items!
Bodysuits.
Lace trimmed cardigans.

Mah babeh's gonna be pretty Y'ALL!!!

Just finish work and a bit bored now.

Will take a nap, do some housework and then go to Debby's farewell dinner. I might be able to squeeze in a bit of window-shopping later :)

P/S: I bought the Valleygirl jacket but in white :/
Hopefully it'll look ok.

Imma be a landlady!

No I did not hook up with Robert. Eww.

He and his gf are going to Thailand and back to their respective countries for a month. And since I'm the only one who has stayed in this apartment the longest, Rob has made me the acting landlady for a month.

I have to collect rent, deposit into his account and make sure everyone cleans the apartment. In return, he will deduct $5 from my weekly rent. Yeah!! 1 extra Easyway per week!

*******

I found quite a bit of information on my debate topic. Surprisingly, I find it very interesting. So I guess that helps?

Hopefully I will not blank out when it is my turn to speak otherwise imma be so pissed.

*********

KIDS!

These fucking little shits.

They should just stay at home and mess up their own place.

T-Bar!

The shirt I wore in the post below is from the T-Bar. It's this store that sells only T-shirts. They have all sorts of designs and illustrations on them shirts. I wanted to every one of them! But they are kinda expensive.

They usually charge $40 per shirt, $69 for 2 and $99 for 3. However, they are having clearance sale or something and it is $20 per shirt! Hollaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I went to Valleygirl in Darling Harbour but did not see the jacket that I wanted so I just try to kill time by trying on random pieces.

Like this dress. I like it a lot but I don't need it. Coz I have 3 new dresses not yet worn. *sighhhh* what to do? Such a date-less girl.

The T-shirt that I actually bought! Paris and New York! I would like to see you someday...

Btw, this is a guy's medium. The '8' shirt I tried on is a women's large but I'm too fat so must get a guy's size :((((((((

Oh....you guys understood what I was implying in the picture below right??

I'm a 8 woman! ------------------------------->PAT POH!!

If they have a '48' shirt, even better! ------------------> SEI PAT POH!!

Let's see..what else I bought.

Nothing much, just a pair of leggings and basics tank tops and long sleeved tops.

Damn peeved la....cannot find the black jacket that I want.

*****

I'm tired.

Have not been sleeping much since Tues night.

I have HEAPS to do.

1) Find material for my debate topic 'A collectivist society is better than a individualist society'. I'm on the negative side. Shouldn't be hard since I am quite independent wtf. Can't fucking believe I volunteered for the debate.

Very annoying bahh!! The ones who usually volunteers have ALL volunteered. And the lecturer kept on eyeing all the Asians because that's all the students left WTF. None of them would fucking volunteer.

So I did. The teacher actually picked me for the first topic 'Religion is a necessary part of life' but I declined it. And when these people wouldn't volunteer for the second one, I did. Damn!

2) Start on my sponsorship assignment.
3) Email Westin and Fresh to ask for prizes.
4) Work on my Marketing final pitch which is 50% of the final grade. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
5) Go to nursing houses to get old people to fill in my survey form for Marketing while bribing them with 'things old people usually like' wtf.
6) Read my sponsorship articles and write notes on it.
7) Work on Sat and Sun morning. Hello weekend rates! Actually any amount of money will make me happy wtf. I seriously CANNOT wait for July. July is like my 'become a instant millionaire' month or something.
8) Go to Debby's farewell dinner on Sun night! She's becoming a team leader in Four Points Sheraton!

***********

Today was supposed to be marvelous day.

BUT.

I had to stay back for my Marketing meeting until 12pm.

Then I had to meet Chef Warren to discuss about the menu for our ICMS Alumni Dinner at 2pm.

Then while waiting at the bus stop, I caught a glimpse of the old fucking pervert in a van going down to the wharf. Holy shit! Which means I will bump into him later. Oh No!!!

So instead of taking the ferry, I will take the bus back to city.

HOWEVER.

I took the wrong bus and went in the wrong direction (which is Manly Vale)for about 30 mins. And I had to take another bus which brings me back to city from Manly Vale. That took abt 1 hr.

And thus, I only made it home at 5pm.

FML can?

What am I?

NOT describe me. What AM I?

*wink wink*

Why so shyyyyyy?

Edit edit: I earned $500+ for 13 hours of work and $122 got deducted as tax dammit! FML.

Edit: Andrea just msg-ed me to ask if I can work tomorrow T__________T

So today after class, I reached home at 3pm and by 4pm I was out again to go to Westin to buy Easter Show tickets but they're sold out!!

So byebye to cheap Easter tickets.

Then I decided to go back to Forever New in Mid-City since it's like a stone's throw away from Westin.

To buy the denim jacket that I have been losing sleep for wtf.

To start off, here's a pic of my newest sandals. Ignore half-coloured toes (too lazy to remove them so will wait for them to wear off)
It's studded sandals....Ohhhhhhh, so trendyyyyy oh!!!

Bloody hell. Trust me to jump on the studded bandwagon 2 years late. No la...In fact I did not even notice the studs until I took it out of my shopping bag.

The only reason I bought it was because it was black and it was jeng jeng jeng........$5 (impulse buy). And I half expected it to fall apart or like scrap the back of my ankle real bad on the first wear. Surprisingly, none of that happen. So I'm happy.

I'm sure the staffs at Forever New recognise me immediately coz I went to that very same branch a million times in a span of one week. Yupppp..

Here's me with basic white tank top and black leggings. HAVE I LOST WEIGHT???????? Pls layan me wtf.

Lan mehhh..see the tummy so big poking out summore. Lose weight your head la.
But ah...everywhere I go, people whom I have not seen since I went for a holiday asked if I lost weight. Which I retorted with a fake 'NOOOOOO!' in hopes that they will insist that I did (which will make me feel super happy) but they did not. FML.

Then, here's the jacket that I want (and own at the very moment)!! It's pretty right! I can totally see myself wearing this everyday.
And this is what I wore today. Which NO DIFFERENCE from the pic above except for the jacket colour.
I think I have no fashion sense at all. Most of the items in my wardrobe are either black, white, grey, navy or cream. I have a few coloured items but I hardly wear them.

Whenever I go out, I opt for easy and simple. Something that I know I will not look fat in, something that will not generate stares from others.

And honestly, I personally find that I look best in black. Of course. Hence the black clothes. I believe in sticking to what's best for you. Even if people say why are you so boring and shit, it doesn't matter.

Maybe it's due to the fact that I'm big-sized. So many times I stood in the changing room looking at a black top and a red top. Red is my FAV colour but I have to admit I look better in black.

SO HOW NOW YOU TELL ME?

More often than not, I choose black. I wonder if it applies to my life in general. You know..maybe I'm in love with this guy but ended up marrying another guy because he is a 'better option'.

Or maybe I actually am interested in this job but stick with another one because it pays better?

Hmm..who knows?

Aiyah....why so emo all of a sudden? Ok back to new clothes. Right now I am just looking for cheap basic tank tops/long sleeved tops with many many many black leggings and get lotsa cute jackets/cardigans.

Anyways, guess who I saw in Forever New? The author of Vanilla Whites and her sister, MustardQueen.

Trust me to meet all the authors of the blogs that I read FTW. They were just behind me at the paying counter. I was too shy to approach them coz it's weird!!

Me: Hey Jing and Ting!! I'm Lesley and I read your blogs!!
They: Urm....heyyy. Yeah....so do a million others.
Me: Owh........*awkward*
>.>

(not saying they are mean or what la. just a make-believe scenario ok)

See?? Never works. Hence I can cross off 'papparazi' and 'news reporter' in my list of possible careers.

Oh! And I also picked up a pair of leggings from FN. It cost me $20 which is a cut-throat price for leggings but it is so comfy!! It's a bit different from the normal cotton ones. It's super stretchy and has a different...pattern? I dunno what's the word <------- ENG224 FAIL.

It's not ribbed. That is for condoms.

AIYAHHHH! Whatever! It's just leggings.

*******

I am staring at the US$6 bills I have on my table now.

I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH THEM.

I can't use them.

I don't want to change the money into Aussie dollars (coz it's like a souvenir token from my IT days wtf)

So I will continue to stare at them until I make my way to US of A. Then I'll spend the money. HAH! $6 can do what??? It's not even enough to leave the airport la. Mahai.

********

As I said, I have been looking at lotsa jackets and cardigans. I came across this online store for Valleygirl and saw some really good ones. I am going to buy this pair. $10 :))
This is one of their new arrivals. But L is out of stock! Shit! Why is everyone wearing L?? I thought they all very skinny one ma. Leave all the Ls for me!!

This is alright too. OUT OF STOCK TOO!

They have this in black but it doesn't look as nice as the grey one. Looks a bit aunty ah.
This is my fav! It's only $25 a huge markdown from its original price of $40 for something. OUT OF STOCK TOO!!!
It means I will need to personally go to the store to buy them. Gahhh!

Life's a bitch for me. Even for online shopping.

Dammit.

**********

I bumped into Andrea today in Westin.

Andrea: Lesley! You're back?!
Me: Yup!
Andrea: What are you doing now?
Me: Just back to school and working 20 hours. Banquets is pretty quiet now.
Andrea: Yeahhh...it is.
*pauses*
Andrea: So does that means we can call you to work in IRD now?
Me: *stunned*

>.>

Shit this Andrea ah. First thing is to ask if Mosaic can get me to work. Aihh.
