I love Dan Brown's books

I managed to finish two books during the 5 day tour to Queenstown. So you can agak agak how 'fun' the trip was.

I finished reading Angels and Demons and Memoirs of A Geisha. In two days only. I bought another book by Dan Brown when I return to Christchurch. Deception Point. Because I read Da Vinci's Code and Angels and Demons before Deception Point, I thought Brown feature Robert Langdon in every book.

I kept on reading Deception Point while waiting for Langdon to appear and wondering how he will fit in with all the space and NASA thing. He never did. There is no Langdon in Deception Point. Stupid.

I want to get the fourth book. Forgot the name.

The L Word Season 5 is out!

Dunno bout you guys but my sis and I always have this frightening thought of random ppl accidentally busting in while we are in the toilet doing our business. Maybe because the door was faulty or we didnt locked it properly or we forgot to lock it. Imagine how awkward would it be if it REALLY happens. If you are sitting on the toilet bowl you be wont be so paiseh la. But if you are squatting, better you change your name and move to Bosnia.

The Telbru Karnival in KB is over.

It was fun on the Apr 27th coz there were lotsa ppl and many performances.

I got kids from Kim Musical Centre to perform there. Their violin performance is great. Made me really regret not taking up music lessons when I was young. The bands were cancelled last minute. :s

The best thing is that I managed to get Panacom to sponsor 4 sets of 42" plasma TV for the cyber games. Bad thing is we only had 3 sets of PS2. WTF rite. It was too late to get WYWY to sponsor PS2 or Wii.

I tried to borrow from all the ppl I know. We need the PS2 on 27th and I started asking around on the 26th. It's like someone up there purposely hide all the PS2 in KB. It's either they dont want to borrow, cannot borrow or don't have one to borrow. I mean if you promised your PS2 to sumone else oredi or rosak la or if you have certain difficulties I dont blame you la. But you have it and it is by your side and you are in Brunei, why can't you borrow? Neh...the sis's bf lor!!!!! Useless. Such a controlling freak. We can take good care of the 4 plasma TVs and I am sure we have no problem with a small PS2 OK? Can you believe that I asked over 20 ppl and still no PS2?

I asked the AnakMuridPierre if his bro has one and you know what he said?
"Why you need PS2? To make DVD you and Vivian ahem ahem ah?"
KNN. Funny meh pare? *karate chop to his lako head*

At least BuffyRicky said "Sory Les, I promised my unit to someone else. Maybe you can try someone else". Much better rite?? Orang yang pendidikan tinggi is like that one ba. Unlike the lako. Haha....Jk, lako.

*deep breath* *calm down* *it's over*

OK, I had fun coz altho I was running up and down for most of the day. Did a lot of face painting for kids. When the function was over at 5pm, I sat down and play Tekken with a small Filipino boy. The Telbru ppl were playing football on the other side. We played until 7pm++..then everyone packed and go home.

Embarrassing things that happened to me in NZ.

Of coz! It wouldnt be my life if nothing humiliating happens right?

1) On the day of my cousin's graduation, the 5 of us went around the city taking pictures. Then my cousin saw a cemetery + church. She wanted to take pics there. I said, "Nice meh?" then proceed to use my fingers to make crosses really fast as a means of telling her 'got graveyard there so means got org mati there'. The 4 of them straight away laughed at me. Use fingers point at me summore! I have never felt more like a dumbass than I had at that moment. Nothing wrong with 'sign language' rite? You cant just say "GOT DEAD PPL THERE ARH!". It's disrespectful. I know coz I tried it before and my mum BOMBED me.

2) I was at Whitcoulls, a bookstore. I wanted to pay for a book and stood behind a middle aged man at the counter. When he was paying, he kept looking at me and my book. I was thinking "See what see? Never see pretty girl arh?". Then I realised he was paying for a drink. Holy shit! I was standing at the wrong counter! Ppl don't pay for books at that counter. Now he is just going to think that I am some uneducated China girl who doesnt kow how to read signs.

3) Remember the blue dress I wore? I was wearing the same dress when I was boarding the plane back to Singapore. To cut a long story short, the dress got caught under my big handbag which resulted in me parading around the airport with my black tights and panties exposed. When my aunt saw my backside, I had been walking around for half an hour already.

My dad wants me to go to Perth!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ignore if you have heard this before)

I DON'T WANT TO GO TO PERTH!!!!

I DID NOT WAIT 2 FUCKING YRS TO GO TO FUCKING PERTH! (SORI NO OFFENCE TO THOSE IN PERTH)

I AM BOILING INSIDE.

He found Southern Cross University which offers Bachelor of Business in Coventions & Event Tourism Management.

My parents told me Perth is good becoz there are many Asians there, it's cheaper there and blablabla...WTF. If I want many Asians around me, better I go China, Taiwan, HK, Japan. Why must I go to Aus orh? He told me his ex-colleagues is in Perth so they can take care of me. So that nothing 'bad' happens to me. CHEH!!! Ex-colleagues so what? Maybe they have sons le. Sons' friends le? Maybe they are the one who end up raping me le!!!

Now I must find more positive things from Sydney and ALL the negative things in Perth. MUST!

I almost got myself killed this afternoon!

My car skidded all the way and slammed into the tall lalangs.

I was driving in the fast lane when it rained even heavier. I wanted to slow down and drive to the slow lane. I turned the steering wheel to the left and proceed to make the car straight. But the car kept going to the left. I turned the steering wheel COMPLETELY to the right but to no avail.

My car was going at 90km/h at that time mind you. It went over the side and bumped up and down for a few seconds until it crashed into the bushes/weeds.

While I was waiting for the car to crash into the lalangs, millions of things were rushing thru my mind. One is how much would the impact be. Another is would it hurt?

Surprisingly, the impact was minimal and I wasnt hurt at all. You would expect maybe I slammed my head onto the steering wheel or something but I didnt.

After the car stopped, I was shaking really hard and tried to reversed the car. I could but I couldnt move the car forward. I was stuck. Shit...The first thing I told myself is to relax and think abt who to call. I couldnt call my mum. So I called my uncle. He's in Seria anyways. One pickup truck stopped and then the.......police showed up. HOLY SHIT!!!

My license had expired on the 8th April 08 and my dad didnt renewed it for me. Before I left for Telisai, I was hoping I wouldnt bumped into any police or roadcheck. I seriously wanted to put a gun to my head when the police appeared.

The police took a look at my car and asked me some questions.

"Kamu OK ka?"
"Ya."
"Kenapa masih dalam kereta? Berani ah. Tidak takut kereta letup?"
"......" (I seriously didnt know how to answer him)
"Enjin masih hidup?"
"Ya."
"Ehh matikan eh. Nanti letup ka, apa ka. Mungkin tangki bocor"

He then told me it was an accident already and they have to report it. I told them my uncle is on the way. One of them spoke on the walkie talkie and after an eternity, they said they are leaving and left the driver of the pickup truck waiting with me.

When they left, a huge rock just lifted itself off my shoulder. Another car stopped and it was someone from Schlumberger. My uncle then arrived with his friend. They helped pull my car out and my uncle's friend drove my car to the workshop.

When I stepped out of the car, only then I realised I had prolly skidded 50m.

I was seriously scared OK. What if there is a metal barrier? I would have been dead already!!

*cries* Stupid rain, stupid car, stupid Brunei road. I want to go back to Christchurch. I want to see Vivian.

FInal batch of photos.

This on the 16th April 08. The graduation day.

Graduation hall.

We had students from the Music department to entertain us.

Professors taking their seats.

Pretty musicians.

This is the pic of me looking pregnant. You know the first thing my mum and other aunt said when they saw me at the airport is "Aiyo, why are you so ROUND??". Meh!

Took her by surprise. Haha...I can never take a take a good pic with her alone coz my cousin will always butt in.

Liang Shih taking my pic while I take hers. The long haired woman beside Liang Shih is actually a pastor? Pastor can be woman rite? She told me she has a degree in Pastor Counselling in Taiwan. Before we eat, the 5 of them are praying to JC. But I was just looking at the dish and deciding which piece I shud take. Hahahah..No la. I just listen quietly only.

After lunch, Vivian and I went shopping at the Westfield mall. We went to the supermarket to get fruits and she accompanied me shopping. She did tell me that she's quite impatient so I am very happy that she still take the time to wait for me.
We bumped into my aunt and cousin half way and agreed to meet up after we are done. Vivian knows that my aunt will never let her pay for anything let alone treating me. So we quickly went to the Natural NZ stall and she got us ice cream! I had Hokey Pokey/Strawberry Yoghurt and she had Green Tea/Cookies N Cream.

This is when we were back to Singapore. After landing, we took a taxi to People's Park and I was so annoyed. It was hot and smoky. Total 180 from Christchurch. Need time to adjust ba. The siew mai from this shop is alrite.

This one day before my cousin's graduation day. She had to rent the outfit and take pictures around the Uni of Canterbury.

This is the old Uni of Canterbury.

We went to this popular Japanese bakery shop. And look what they sell? Doraemon's fav food.

Why I look like an outsider here? And this pic looks so Japanese.

See the purple flowers? We took pics of these and went inside the Park for a walk. When we return, the flowers were at the back of a truck.

Pretty purple tree.

This is the new Uni of Canterbury. Where my cousin used to study.

She accidentally poked my eye with the 'graduation hat'. CB.

Fooling around
Dunno what I was trying to do. Potray an overweight mermaid?

Jealous.....Huh.

Finally a decent pic.

Tour Day 2 - 5. Queenstown - Dunedin - Oamaru.

We took the gondala up up and to the top where we took pictures and watch people have fun while I am being miserable. This is Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu something like that.

Luging.

Queenstown at 6am.
The supposedly 4 star hotel.

6 degrees in the morning.

This is in Eglington Valley. Look so fake rite the photo? Exactly like Photoshopped. Badly. My sis says I look like someone who has never been to NZ and try to use a fake photo to tipu orang that I've been there.

Dunno what place is this. Just take la. I really admire those China tourists ah. They can take pictures from EVERY angle, EVERY corner and EVERY direction. My aunt and I just take 1 or 2 pics and look around.

We had to walk 15 mins too to get to 'The Chasm". I was sooo tulan when I found out this is what the 15 mins walk is for. KNN. I am standing on a bridge looking down at "The Chasm".

This is the ship we took in Milford Sound.

From behind the ship.

Sohai.
The waterfall. It's rumored that the water can make you 10 yrs younger. The ship actually got really close to the waterfall but I was at the 2nd deck so I tidak sempat lari ke atas to touch the water. Never mind larr..I got my Clinique kit.

I love this pic. Maybe it's because of the dark water and the bright sky.

Like I said, my obsession with red trees.

I have never been so religious in my whole life than I have been in the past three weeks. Went to church with my aunt and cousin. Visit this First Church of Otago, St Paul's Cathedral.
The whoel church too tall oredi. My camera cannot fit the whole thing into a pic.

So colourful rite?

World's Steepest Street. I was standing in the middle of the road so had to quickly take a shot and scram.

The oldest railway station in Dunedin.

I took this pic. She had no idea. So pretty rite? The bright blue sky complements her orange attire.
Oamaru has a Empire Hotel.
We went to a penguin watch in Oamaru too. We werent allowed to take any cameras with us so no pics. The blue penguins are soooo adorable. They are only 20 cm tall and weigh only 1 kg. The way they walk like ah pek with a hunched back. Hahahah....
