In Australia, 24th-26th Dec will be public holiday. And I am working 24th Dec 6pm-12pm, 25th Dec 5.30am-11.30am, 6pm-12pm. That is 18 hours with a 50bucks/hr rate ok! Nearly $1000 in 2 days.
I thought I would be having a good Christmas Eve night but it's ok. Money is more important HAHAH!
I have gathered all the 'important' shifts (like holidays) I want for the next 2 weeks. Together with other functions. I shall write down my schedule.
15th Dec - 7am (Frasers)
16th Dec - 6.30am (Banquets)
17th Dec - 6pm (Frasers Christmas party)

At the moment, it doesn't look like I have a lot of shifts. But I still do not know my Frasers's roster for next next week yet. Might be a another couple of shifts.

S and J being Sonia and Julie. Wahhh, like this la. Type our full name also lazy already. I didn't say yes. I'm tired after 3 whole days of rushing like mad. Actually 2 days. Today was a bit rushy in the morning coz I opened for Frasers for 1 hour and went to Westin for my 8am shift. And then the number of people went down so it was too many staffs and too little things to do.

FYI, it doesn't make me feel any better about myself or about 'my so-called level of English' coz we all know what it's like. Not good, not bad. Just average like a plain Jane.

Messy.
I have been working approx 12 hours 2 days in a row now. Not so bad la...We have a 600pax lunch turned around for 500 pax dinner on Fri and today, we did a whole day conference for this group called Herbalife. HAhahah!! Herbalife wor....
But there are so many people from different countries attending this conference. Aunties uncles from Korea, Japan, China (duh!), Malaysia, Singapore, Russia and so forth. For their lunch, we had a juice station set up with their own Herbalife powder shakes. The chef made a lot of shakes with the powder and soy milk. It looked so yummy but when we tried it, it was like 'Yuck'.
For some reason, today I felt so defeated by a bunch of old women wtf. I was tired (due to the extremely long 2 hours slp I had last night), cranky and sure as hell couldnt give a shit about what they want.
The aunties couldn't speak English and when I tried to be nice to them and ask if they need anything, they just ignored me. Becoz they cannot speak English, they choose to fucking IGNORE me.

Dun say I didn't try. I tried to be nice. But if that's how you want it, so be it.
In addition, Nicole and David nearly got into a fight while in the foyer setting up the water station. They were talking about the whole male vs female at work thing and as usual, Nicole felt like everyone is bullying her and that she did a lot, in Canto we say 'hou chee hou sau wai wat kam' wtf.
Nicole has pointed out that she is sick of working in banquets already and she wants to quit a lot. Loudly summore so everyone can hear her. But she still stays. If me, damn malu right. For sure, learn to shaddup next time la.
You see, I complain here, nobody from work reads it and nobody knows (unless you call Tania, bitch). Then I do not have to feel so embarrassed everytime they see me coming back to work.
That David also another one. He knows Nicole's personality and he still wants to argue with her. In the end, both of them ask me to say something 'fair'. Fuck you both. I did not.

Yumyum.
So yesterday was Naoko's bday dinner. I was late like 50 minutes wtf coz New Moon took longer than I expected.
Sidetrack sikit. New Moon is alright. I was sub-consciously cringing at all the 'I love you', 'You're the only reason I live (or continue to pretend to look like I live wtf)' parts. Too much.
And Jacob Black is the SHIT! Edward is sorta good-looking too but only if you see him as a real vampire. Jacob??? Phwoar!! *wipes drool*
But one thing. I wealli wealli wealli wealli wished that he is taller. He is buff but due to his height or lack of it, he ended up looking sorta stumpy. I want him to tower over Bella. And Bella is soo lucky to be able to hug Jacob while he is topless. *swooooooooons*
Damn. Another thing. I thought the werewolves could look even scarier. The ones in New Moon looks like those dogs you can cuddle with after a huge family dinner and go 'ang gugu' with them one wtf.
Ok, back to Naoko's bday. I saw Brian whom I have not seen forever and Javier. He's back from Melbourne just to celebrate Naoko's bday. Woo....kam chi cheng ahhh. Then he said a lot of those Swedish people who started term 1 and 2 with us are not going back to college.
Cool. More space for me. They all started work now and didn't wanna study anymore wah. I am still going back!!

3 hours.
Of sleep is all I got last night. After watching the finale of The Little Nyonya, it was abt 11pm. Still can sleep for urm 6 hours la if I wake up at 5am.
But I can't. Toss and turn until 2am then slp. Shit.
Work was slow and painful. We weren't really busy, just a short period of time where we have like 50 people come in at the same time. But after 9am, it's all quiet again becoz it's time to go to work for everyone!
We had a girl came in for a job trial today.
Altho you guys might say 'you last time also like that what', 'you very thin ah???' or 'you think you very good now laaaaaa!', I am still going to rant. Screw u!
That girl was damn slow la. Like it would be common sense to grab as much items as you can when you are clearing but her hands are sooo big and she took like a small milk jug to the kitchen and come back and take another small item, rinse and repeat. F.
It's not her first time working in restaurants. I'm sure she has hospitality experiences. Maybe becoz it's her first day here. But the clearing part is just damn sibeh cannot ah.
And then right...all the people I work with there are small in size one ma! Coz the entrance to the kitchen is already very small and she still stand there block the door mahai. If Jackie or Steven were there, I could easily squeeze thru coz they are skinny. This new girl is like 3 times my height and 3 times my weight wtf. Fat + fat = so who wants to move out the way first? wtf
Even bigger than the chef working there.
Actually I'm just a lil bit peeved. Not like those full blown tulan-ness that will drive me to kill someone if I can. Luckily, it's not my PMS yet.

Andrea called me again to work tonight which I said no. Malas ah. I want tonight and the whole Tues free. Coz I plan to watch New Moon by myself tomorrow afternoon before going for Naoko's bday/farewell dinner at Bar 333.

Clean my table. Urmmm...PASS.
Charge my Ipod. Check.
Do laundry. Check.
Go shopping. I want!! I want!! But no. Not this week. I'll prolly do it during my last week here. Coz got some major sale mahh.
Scheme my way to get my required hours for the following week after the next. Am doing it now.
Draw up a list of to-buy things back home. Later. I hate this the most. Buying all crap to give relatives and whatnots.

I have 2 Christmas parties to go to. One is on the 17th Dec for Frasers and the other is on the 20th Dec for Westin. I have already RSVP-ed for Frasers but not yet for Westin. Still have one more week to do so.
If you do not RSVP, Tania will roster you on to work that day. Although it's a Sun rate, it still sucks to see your frens having fun while you have clear dirty plates and glasses.
Westin's party has a Wild Wild West theme and everyone is gonna dress up as cowboys and cowchicks wtf.
I was thinking of working there for a bit but then I guess I'm done with all that. After the following week, I'm pretty much finished with Westin.

Since we had so many functions going on the past week, let me tell you a bit about them. We had quite a few VIP functions. In one of them, Kevin Rudd was present together with some PM from Israel.
In another function, Nicole Kidman's sis was there. Not Nicole herself tho haih. Ian Thorpe was present too. Along with some other Australian celebs. I wasn't like starstruck or anything tho coz I am not Thorpe's fan nor can I recognise these celebs wtf. They all look normal to me. Jasmine was like 'He's so handsome and he smiled at me!'.

And then just on Fri, we had 2 back to back functions in which we do not have enough staffs coz so many of them went on holiday already.
Tania brought in pinnacles. These pinnacle people are there to help us temporarily and they usually work like 3-5 hours. The 7 months I have been there, we only hired them 3 times.
I was one of the lucky/unlucky ones to get paired up with a pinnacle. Why lucky/unlucky? If you get a good one, then lucky you. If you happen to end up with a shitty one, then FYL.
My pinnacle was Adam, a British dude with a black mohawk. He's pretty ok with general stuff like he did a good job with the beverage service but when it came to mains, I had to clear of all them by myself.
He didn't wanna do it coz they are heavy. Aiyah, nvm la. Since he did a good job with the drinks, I'm ok with the mains too.
Ina wasn't so lucky tho. She got an Indian guy and when she told him to get a tray of beers, he said 'I don't want to. Coz they are too heavy for me'. Ina was like 'Do I give a shit??!'.
LOL.
And when it's time to clear the mains, he wanted to do the beverage service too and leave the clearing to Ina. But Ina isn't as kind as me WTF. She told him to put the bottles down and go clear. FHL.
I feel bad for all the pinnacles coz they remind me of my early days. All of them complained about their pinnacle partners. I mean yeah they might be a bit slow and confused at times but that is because they are not used to this kind of working environment.
Like it took me nearly 3 months to just be half as good as the others. Not that I'm any better now. I guess the supervisors have found someone new to tease now.

I have 2 Christmas parties to go to. One is on the 17th Dec for Frasers and the other is on the 20th Dec for Westin. I have already RSVP-ed for Frasers but not yet for Westin. Still have one more week to do so.
If you do not RSVP, Tania will roster you on to work that day. Although it's a Sun rate, it still sucks to see your frens having fun while you have clear dirty plates and glasses.
Westin's party has a Wild Wild West theme and everyone is gonna dress up as cowboys and cowchicks wtf.
I was thinking of working there for a bit but then I guess I'm done with all that. After the following week, I'm pretty much finished with Westin.

Since we had so many functions going on the past week, let me tell you a bit about them. We had quite a few VIP functions. In one of them, Kevin Rudd was present together with some PM from Israel.
In another function, Nicole Kidman's sis was there. Not Nicole herself tho haih. Ian Thorpe was present too. Along with some other Australian celebs. I wasn't like starstruck or anything tho coz I am not Thorpe's fan nor can I recognise these celebs wtf. They all look normal to me. Jasmine was like 'He's so handsome and he smiled at me!'.

And then just on Fri, we had 2 back to back functions in which we do not have enough staffs coz so many of them went on holiday already.
Tania brought in pinnacles. These pinnacle people are there to help us temporarily and they usually work like 3-5 hours. The 7 months I have been there, we only hired them 3 times.
I was one of the lucky/unlucky ones to get paired up with a pinnacle. Why lucky/unlucky? If you get a good one, then lucky you. If you happen to end up with a shitty one, then FYL.
My pinnacle was Adam, a British dude with a black mohawk. He's pretty ok with general stuff like he did a good job with the beverage service but when it came to mains, I had to clear of all them by myself.
He didn't wanna do it coz they are heavy. Aiyah, nvm la. Since he did a good job with the drinks, I'm ok with the mains too.
Ina wasn't so lucky tho. She got an Indian guy and when she told him to get a tray of beers, he said 'I don't want to. Coz they are too heavy for me'. Ina was like 'Do I give a shit??!'.
LOL.
And when it's time to clear the mains, he wanted to do the beverage service too and leave the clearing to Ina. But Ina isn't as kind as me WTF. She told him to put the bottles down and go clear. FHL.
I feel bad for all the pinnacles coz they remind me of my early days. All of them complained about their pinnacle partners. I mean yeah they might be a bit slow and confused at times but that is because they are not used to this kind of working environment.
Like it took me nearly 3 months to just be half as good as the others. Not that I'm any better now. I guess the supervisors have found someone new to tease now.

BLAHHHHH. FUCK THIS SHIT.
I have Thurs until Sun which all of those are 12hr shifts. I have worked approx 60 hours this week. I think. My memory is failing me. I can't even remember what happen or what I did on Mon and Tues. I am raking my brains trying to remember where I worked and how long but nothing.
FML.
Whatever. I'm giving my Thurs shift to Tiffany again. Just so that I can work in Frasers from Mon to Thurs and then they can be able to not roster me on for the weekends. Gotta compensate for it.
Geez. Can't wait for Christmas Day. Coz it's Christmas right? NO! It's my last day of hard work! Then I'm off beeeeeeeetch!

I like the BOOM BOOM POW!
Just feel like listening to that song now. Coz I need the energy to fuel myself for the next 2 grueling days.
I kept on saying yes. Was not supposed to work tomorrow (maybe Mosaic but Suli didn't call me) then yesterday, Adam asked if I can work in banquets tomorrow at 11am. And I agreed. Then I asked if it was going to be a 12 hr shift. I explained that on Fri, I have work from 7am onwards at Frasers followed by another shift in banquets which will be 13/14 hours (everyone is doing the same time on Fri FOL). So he let me finish early which is still 10pm.
Ok la..I will have about 7 hours of rest. Should be enough :/

I am the champion! Look at the amount of ready-to-go food in my fridge!
We have 6 containers of food here. 5 of which I just cooked and the one in plastic container is the one I got from work yesterday (in a super secretly manner incase the SOB head chef finds out. Tung is so nice la!)
Then today, I brought home a few slices of bread and some bacon from Frasers. Cooked the remaining eggs I have becoz they expire today FML. And what do we have? 2 bacon and egg sandwiches!! Which will last me 2 days as well.
So there you go! 1 week worth of food. Siok eh.
And yeah. That is YEO'S SOYA BEAN DRINK! Which shows how Asian I am wtf.

I curled my hair today for the first time in a very long time wtf. Coz it was very hot recently and the curls doesn't last even a day with hairspray summore. In the end, I just malas already and tie my hair up in a bun all the time since that's my default hairstyle for work wtf.
When I'm feeling hiao, I braid it.

Gawd! The bed looks so inviting right now. But I cannot sleep just yet. Must wait until like 8 or 9pm. Then I'll get my 12 hour sleep and get up for work at 9.55am.
