Melbourne in 2 days.

Hello guys, I am back from Melbourne and it was a wonderful weekend! Coz I had so much food...

On friday, it was a bit busy at work but I was able to clock off at 8.15pm and off I went home and to the airport. I only thought of checking online reviews of Tiger Airways after I bought the tix -_-''

Needless to say, I was appalled at the negative reviews. I was scared shitless my flights will be cancelled and that I would be late for work and so forth. But thank God, nothing really happened to both my flights except that I nearly didn't make the return flight coz I was late.

I mean...I was just 20 mins past my boarding time and I still have 30 mins til the plane leaves but the secuirty check-in was letting people at a later flight in already and while latecomers to Sydney flights had to queue all the way to the back. WTF no brain. And they had one old man at the security check in.

Never again am I flying with Tiger!

So here are my pics from Melb!

First day, cousin brought us to CBD and we had lunch at Chinatown!

Cousin and bro.
Fascinated by trams. In my 2 days there, I have worked out how to navigate through the entire city and how to use the trams. Tourists always say Sydney transport is more complicated but IMHO, it's all the same. If you know the system, you won't find it hard to get around.

Smelly horses walking around.
I always see this place in Melbourne blogs but I only had 2 days. Might as well fill my tummy with other stuff.
Cheesy scallops at dimsum! So good ok! But it leaves you feeling queasy so it better if 2 ppl share a HALF.
Us three. My cousin pretty leh~~~ unfortunately she is not exactly interested in a bf now. She's more interested in shopping instead.

Waiting for tram to Docklands.

These two little boys are cute. The Asian one saw me taking pictures and he was giving me sideways glances.

Under a mushroom.

Entree....

I had to go to Crown to see what's the difference between Star City and Crown. I have to admit Crown is bigger and resembles more of a casino. Wanted to eat at Nobu coz that is like famous! But cousin's friends weren't that interested :(

My bro started out with $10 but he lost all.
I changed $20 and won $40! Which means I have recovered my own capital and my bro's AND win $10! So sad man....i had to pray so hard to win wtf! A major phobia after my huge loss at Star City previously.
Cousin wanted us to stay for the fire show outside Crown. It was scary but super useful becasue it was cold.
Waiting for train at Flinders St Station.

Melbourne Central again.

At Yoyogi for Japanese food! The portion is huge!!! And price is cheap too.

Queen Victoria Market

How can you go to Melb and NOT take pic of the purse? Unfortunately I had 3 other ppl there and didn't bother to wait for them to leave.
One of the back alley. I found a little shop selling super colourful accessories, bags, shoes and vintage-y clothing and it was so pretty. I wanted to lap the whole store back to Syd with me.
At some river. Terrace?

All in all, Melbourne is a very beautiful city and I think, has a more city feel to it rather than Sydney. Sydney looks very cramped but still, has its own good points like clear and huge shopping malls and beautiful beaches and suburbs.

Should I get offered a job in Melb, I would definitely take it! Only if I can bring Chat Thai with me wtf.

Finished!! Will try to study now coz I have exams on Wednesday and 3 days of work in banquets after that.

My Easter gift

So damn happy eh! Was not supposed to work at all during the Easter holidays except Saturday but on Friday, Andrea needed me to come in unexpectedly at 7pm. I did and the rest just keeps coming :)

I got my self another 5 care shares summore! At the moment I have in total 55 care shares. Just wondering what should I exchange it for.

10 care shares = a bottle of wine
20 care shares = 2 movie tickets
25 care shares = huge picnic hamper
30 care shares = $20 Coles or Myers voucher
40 care shares = Buffet breakfast for 2 in Mosaic
50 care shares = Lunch for 2 in Mosaic

I think I will wait for another 5 careshares ;p

So I sorta went on a blind date last night with Jenny's bro. Sorta because Jenny and Kay were present too. So it's not exactly just the two if us ya'know. We didn't bring Norman because she doesn't want Norman to screw things up and she also doesn't want her kid to look like him HAHAHA! Jenny's bro name is John (yawnnnnn wtf). Just kidding wa....I'm not THAT judgmental.

To be honest, John seems like a really nice person. He is very polite and from the things he say, it seems like he is a very ambitious person who wants to see the world and gain as much knowledge as possible (even more than Einstein wtf). In summary, a very good potential boyfriend.

Jenny keeps on pushing the whole thing in my face and I told her : He is exactly like what you described - polite, filial, gentleman, studious, smart, presentable but from our conversation, it seems like there's a reason why he doesn't have a gf until now. I think he doesn't want that. He's a person who sees further than having a relationship because obviously that is not his priority.

Jenny's rebuttal: That's what you think but that's just his personality, very smart and boring hahah! But I'm very excited because today is the first time he shows some initiative. You remember he asked us if we are doing anything during Easter! It means he wants to know our plans and he has never ever done that with any of the girls I intro-ed him!

And that is why Jenny is very excited -_-

I'm not saying that I'm right. That's just my perception of John but then again, who knows? ;)

Fuck man! She is already planning the next steps wtf. To Jervis Bay.

As for me, I shall continuing flirting with the chefs in Westin wtf. The other day, I nearly hooked up with Joey from Mosaic. He's like your typical Aussie bloke. Only 20 yrs of age, so young.

*********

That Jenny is so fucking annoying ahaha. Yesterday, after the date we went back to Kay's place in Ashfield. Jenny wanted to wear this particular dress to Ivy.

When I couldn't zip her up, she was like 'WAHHHHHHHHHHHH, I'VE BECOME SO FAT! I DON'T CARE, I MUST WEAR THIS DRESS!'. I was like 'Shut the fuck up la, wear this after you give birth'.

I'm so excited to see her tummy grow bigger but I won't be here when she gives birth lor :(
Dayum!

I have one more presentation to do in school. It's worth 15% of the entire grade and it happens to fall on the very last day of Term 8 WTF.

Thank God, it's not like at 3pm or some shit like that. My class finishes at 10am on Friday and then Term 8 is over!! However, I have to rush rush to work after that -_-'' and then after work, rush to airport coz i'm going to Melb! It's only for 2 days tho coz on Monday, I come back at 1pm and I have to rush to work AGAIN.

Why do I do this to myself? >.>

Easter Holidaysssssss!!

Starts today! :D

Yeah, I skipped a few classes. I am supposed to have cross-cultural lecture tomorrow but am working instead. And then tomorrow after 8pm, I'll be free wootsss! Until the next week at least :)

Coz I have my Strategic presentation slides to do. But that's all :)

But at the moment, I just finished a few MAJOR assignments and there's still one more document for me to edit and submit on Friday.

I had to edit two pages of information my groupmate just sent me. Here's an excerpt from her document.

"To add, when the company bring these players they will be signing contract with us for 5 years period. In term of contract, in some worst case scenarios is that the player would like to break a contract and move on to another agent, we will prevent this by under the contract will clearly put that, the contract can be brake if the player pay back the asset such as; the accommodations fee, plane ticket and cover the training costs."

And I have to read through the entire thing and figure out what's she trying to say. Hey, my English is not perfect but cmon! You're in third year ok!

Anyways, whatever. I'm done. Then it's time to shop at Zara!!

I wanted to go there today but I knew there's going to be a huge queue. Why can't I buy Zara online!!!!

Dammit.

*******

I plan to catch up on my gym and work during the holidays. I've been going out so often and busy with assignments that work and gym has pretty much taken a back seat :(

As I have said earlier, my role now is shift filler wtf. Banquets is super quiet at the moment and these guys keep on texting me for shifts but when I have shifts for them, all of them are not available!! So fucking pissed off man.

And I just did my PMP review with David -_-

But it was good :) I had extremely good reviews and he plans to start a mentoring program for me.

Remember a while back, I said I done something that made David unhappy? It was me speaking in my mother language at work. I was arguing with Norman at back of house and Pavel, Shannon and Amy was there. Either one of them told David or he himself was hiding in a corner listening to us.

So on the very same day, I walked past the office and David called me into the office. He started off casually by asking me how's my weekend and all that bushing-beating shit. Then he asked 'So Lesley, what do you think of the whole language problem within the workplace?'. The minute he said that, I was like 'Shit! He must have heard Norman and I'.

I was explaining the entire situation and blablabla. He said he understand BUT! I shouldn't have done what I did and he was disappointed in me because he see a lot of potential in me and doesn't want to terminate me. He said the whole language thing is annoying him very much and if he has to, he will terminate someone to set an example for the entire team. I was like 'Eppppssss >.>'.

So hard as you are getting nearer to the real working life.

Ok..need to go back to editing and online shopping again!

A visit from the stork.

I will start off this post with a super super duper shocking news : Jenny is pregnant with Kay's baby. So......... >.>

I am super happy, worried, surprised and all other emotion mashed into one now.

Shit thing is there is a chance she will be my future sis-in-law because she's setting me up with her bro.

And yeah, I'll be on a blind date during Easter. WTF

Yuli and her bf, Jason came over to Sydney last week and here are some pictures from FB :)

We have Flora, Sam, Yuli and I. Flora is the one in pink. She is half Dutch, half Taiwanese but she grew up in Taiwan. Initially she spoke only english and when she blurted perfect Mandarin, Norman, David and I were like 'WOAHHHH' except for Yuli, Jason and Sam because they already knew she could do that.

My expression is too obscene.

Ryan and I outside the 3 monkeys bar.

We at the Eastern Hotel in Bondi Junction. Flora's bf works as a barman over there.
Two idiots.

Us girls.

I ate out wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much. Must.CUT.DOWN!

Food fest!

Like literally! I am going to be eating out for 3 nights in a row from today until Tues night just because today we have that banquets outing, tomorrow will be the F & B Team day out at Four Points Hotel and on Tues night, I'll be having dinner with Yuli! Yes, my super CHAO KE AI friend is back in Sydney with her bf this time and Norman and I will be joining!

And possibly Wed and Thurs too because I promised my student that I'll have dinner with her and another one with Loong. Oh shit! Why do these people ask me out for dinner in the same week? Farkkk.

Anyways, the guy that I was referring to in my last post is Norman but all is solved and we are friends again. Seriously I was going to delete him off my FB, cancel all his shifts in Mosaic and make his life as miserable as I can but the thing is I hardly go to these lengths with a guy. But the point is that because he is my good friend and that makes the whole situation look even worse.

Anyway, the point is everything is solved and we are good friends again :)

Thank God he kept on pushing me to tell why I was ignoring him and all that otherwise, I would have lose a friend I like a lot and make the wrong decisions.

However, because he kept on pestering me to confront this problem, I ended up doing something I was not suppose to at work and that led me to a whole new different problem with David, the banquets manager. In short, I am treading on dangerous waters now.

Uh-ohhhhhh. Will tell more soon but I am super tired now because I have been waking up at 5am on both Sat and Sun for work and rushing to finish my assignments after work. So sleep was very little.

Hope you had a good weekend and I will update again soon with pictures soon ;))

Never bite the hand that feeds you!

I am livid at the moment!

After all I have done for him, he in turns bring his gf to the very restaurant that I am eating at, sit next to my table and pretended to not know me!

I complained to Jenny and we have decided to start a 'cold war' on him.

He will regret this.
