There is something fishy going on.

Yours truly has been working for 3 weeks now and it's slowly getting better I guess.

The catering company that I'm working for is bringing in a seafood franchise called Fish & Co into Brunei. And I have been chosen amongst a few others to go to Singapore for a 3 weeks training. This lady who's the current supervisor of another outlet will be managing Fish & Co with me.

I'm excited! Because I finally have a clear picture of what I'm supposed to focus on. Before, I did a mix of sales & marketing plus operations. I was told to follow a bunch of key people around to observe and learn. The only thing I'm happy about is getting to know all the big shots in Brunei. Such as the Singapore High Comm, pehin-s, dato's, ministers etc.

If you are not aware, how fast you get things done in Brunei depends on who you know and not what you know.

I don't have a fixed date as to when I'll be flying off but I need to complete 2 days of walk-in interviews and select the candidates for our outlet before I fly.

It's hard when these people speak like 'Sapa ni? Napa tlepon?' when they received a missed call from you. Gosh, being waiter here is not something that one is proud off but I want to cultivate a different mindset with these group of potentials and hopefully in time, change the way Brunei think about the F & B industry.

Good news!

Y'all!! I got some good news...

I got a job like omg I seriously got a job :))

RBC offered me the sales and marketing exec position. I'll be working in the capital!

Although I haven't sign the contract yet but I'm supposed to be starting on the 15th Feb. Which is like 3 days from now. And I haven't got a place to stay yet. I found like 2 places online but have yet to inspect them. Hopefully they are not some kind of dodgy place.

Now that I'm working I would like to have a nice place with my own bathroom.

The pay is alright. Although I was hoping for a bit more but I'm just happy to have something to do. The pay will have to wait.

Am also waiting for my dad to get another car so I can use it to commute around and also to and from home.

Another thing is I have also gone back to the gym and it's been 3 weeks now. I'm so pumped to get this thing continuing!

Happy CNY!

Celebrated the first of CNY with a severe acne breakout.

The worst ever in my whole life. My face has never been that bad. Surprisingly, I wasn't all dramatic over it maybe coz I knew it wasn't permanent, geez hopefully.

I finally bought a pair of white pants!!! Went shopping at The Spring and bought quite a few items from Mango. I know clothing from Mango are mostly made in China too I mean what isn't?

It's not about brand but more on the cut and quality of the clothes. I pay RM99 for a pair of pants and it fits well and lasts. Whereas in boutiques who claim their products are "sourced from Korea, HK, Japan etc", it may fool housewives like my mum and aunt but we all know their clothes are factory excess copied from magazines and whatnots. And - I have to pay more.

Okay I disgress. Back to white pants, I can finally pull off white pants straight cut. Next goal - white skinny pants * cold sweat

This year seems pretty bad for us fellow Dragons. However, we should not let a book affect our year. Whatever happens or comes your way is a result of your actions hence if you think and act positive, I trust there will be some good news coming your way.

Spent the past 10 days in Kuching with my entire family and my uncle's family. Little Huan Huan was with us too. Lots of laughter but also sickness. Most of us fell sick due to the weather and excessive eating WTF.

Just glad to be back in home and concentrate on job hunting. Baiduri Bank called me for a 2nd interview however when I asked if they could postpone the interview to 25th, they said 'will call me back' but no news until now. Damn.

I'm just counting on RBC now.

Do the wee-wee with door open

My sister and I have our own bathroom/toilet and it is positioned in such a way that you have to walk into our room and pass our closet before you can see the toilet door.

Last night, I was doing a weewee on the throne while my sister was brushing her teeth. We left the door open coz who's gonna come in at that time right? I was even saying to her 'you know if Uncle Ah Huat barges in, we are so fucked or at least me'.

True enough, 2 seconds later he barges in into our room and yelled 'HELLOOOO!!! Want to eat Maccasss??'.

My sis and I were literally screaming our heads off.
My sis ran out of the bathroom and I was rushing to pull my pants up quickly and yelling at her to close the goddamn door.

Then the screaming turned into fits of giggles and LOLs.

Seriously?? Why can't I be that accurate when it comes to 4D wtf!

When a function finishes, this is what happens to the flowers. Imagine this but 3 times more. We either chuck it and the staffs take it home. Most of the time we chuck.

Working in Lobby Bar. I like the front section coz it's the closest to the kitchen and bar >.>
Dirty chairs. Guests always vomit on them, spill red wine on them and etc. However, we only get them cleaned like once every 3 months or so. It cost AU$60 to clean each chair. Seriously!! You might as well buy a new chair.

Just went for my interview with Baiduri Bank yesterday. The position is for a Marketing Officer. Now I am invited to a pre-employment assessment on Sat. Fingers crossed I pass :((((

2012 is the year of dragon!!

Although Lilian Too foresees that it won't be such a good year for us fellow fiery creatures career-wise. Uh oh.

Back to about the career, it is giving me the jittery bugs about mine. Fingers crossed. As long as I keep on making an effort to find one, I'm sure I'll eventually land a good job :)

However, in terms of money and health, Lady Luck is on our sides.

I just need to pick it up at the post office. It's weird tho coz back in Sydney, I just have to walk 5 mins then I'm there. Here, I need to drive 15 mins into town. No one walks here except the labourers coz people here are too snooty to walk under the hot sun.

Although I have to say, I'm seeing more people making an effort to stay healthy like cycling and urm.... *blank out*

I am too!! Been walking the dogs everyday with my sis. Despite being in a kampung filled with Malays, they are quite friendly towards them. Pudding is such a cutie, they all love her!

Man Man on the other hand elicits responses like 'Anjing mu besar ah..takut eh haha'. Heheh my ass.

I've been cutting down on my food intake. All these is because I can hardly fit into my pants now!!!

I wanted to wear this pair of Zara pants I bought in Spore. I've worn it a couple times already but that time, it was tight, like so tight it's violating human rights. I am fat, again. Oh myyyyyy!!!

I feel like that chubby girl on MTV's I Used To Be Fat who cried to her trainer and said I just want to be happy. Awww, I feel you tubby girl.

I got exactly three weeks people!! I can do this and I WILL DO THIS!! Like it's not just a phase, I will stick to this coz holiday is over.

That's my current situation.

Sucks major balls, what's worse, I'm losing this somewhat called 'excitement' I get from pouring all my rants, dreams, hopes onto this page.

BLogger used to be my 'secret' friend whom I would first think of whenever a dramatic event unfolds in my life.

But now I could not even make an effort to type in a few letters in order to log in. Instead all my time is spent on the two little dogs at home and 9gag and job-hunting. 30/30/40 not necessarily in tat order.

Unemployed - check

That girl from Glee would be happy to place her fingers in a shape of a 'L' on my forehead.

All I have been doing at home is watch TV. Lots of them. HIMYM, Next Top Model series, Family Guy, MTV, Asian drama series...jeez, I need help. An intervention.

But hey, at least I have obtained the membership to use the gym and aerobics center at BSRC. I just need to wait for the lady to sign it so I can start using it. Could you be rather quick, lady?!!!
My clothes can't hold on any longer.

I hate waiting. Brunei moves at an extremely slow pace. We have a motto here, it's 'Don't work too hard, everything can wait'.

I have to wait for a reply for my job application, wait for my membership to be approved, wait for food, wait to pay, wait for everything!

Man........I want a new bag hmph.

Onto a more superficial note, I currently have 3 new pairs of shoes for CNY. Am adding another one to that number once I get my hands on that pair of beautiful black wedges this Sat. And countless tops and dresses.

I never meant to have that much stuff but whenever my mum asks me to tag along with her for CNY shopping, I end up with another item or two.

Bad bad.

My entire family and I will be flying to Kuching in two weeks time for CNY which means more shopping, oh lord.

I guess my aim of finding a job by the end of this year won't materialize. Better luck next year. I better do get by mid Jan otherwise I'd be broke.
