Change of mind

I was wrong!

Murad's Mattifier does shit on my face. It didn't work at all in keeping the oilies away. WTF. I really liked it when I first tried it on my forehead. However, after using the sample for like 3 days, I realised it doesn't work at all. Bullshit.

Which means I now have to try Benefit's Dr Feel Good.

I am using the Mecca sunscreen now and it is REALLY good. It's a hydrating facial sunscreen.

Every morning after I cleanse, I slap on the sunscreen. For me, it acts like a moisturiser, sunscreen and primer. BB cream and all that makeup.

Spend an entire day at work and walking for a bit outside in the hot humid weather, my face was only slightly oily which is normal I guess. So I really really like it.

Also got myself a liquid liner from Revlon. Again, glad I trusted the reviews online. It is so easy to use and it doesn't smudge at all even on my oily lids. I cannot for the life of me use kohl liners because I would look like a raccoon in 5 minutes. It is that terrible!

Anyways, the next big thing on my to-buy list is the Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum. Time to ask for samples again (shameless wtf).

*******

I didn't know Kim Clijsters had a daughter. I saw them yesterday during breakfast. At first I was like is that her sister? They look just a senior-junior version.

Then Jun told me it is her daughter then I was like no wonder!!!!

But that girl is so precious tho. So cute! I just want to put her in my pocket and take her home!

Anyway, my love (wtf!) has been missing from work for 10 days now because he flew all the way to Singapore to attend a friend's farewell party. He's back next week and I can't wait.

Btw, I saw a really cute porter boy. I always bump into him at the LunchBox and when I'm delivering room service.

I never say this but I actually think most of the porter boys are pretty cute.

Suli is always teasing me by asking me to go for younger guys and that porter boy is perfect. Yeah I think he is cute too but cute guys never like me. Oh well.

I passed I passed I passed I passed I passed!

I passed ALL of my subjects!!!

1D and 3 Cr.

Ready for this?

I got a Distinction for my HR Planning and Performance! The subject that I was dreading the most!

Saw whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Which would have mean that I nearly aced my final.

*thinks for a bit*

Man!!! This is confusing! How can I get such high marks for HR when I knew my essay was a goner? Maybe he saw some sense in it?

OMG. Please don't let this be another mistake just like last term.

But they have my actual marks for all 4 subs.

Finance - 70
International Events - 65
Stats - 65
HR - 77

So I *just* managed two Credits because if it was 64, it will be a pass only. Which I'm fine with both because I was expecting a pass only anyways.

Was a bit disappointed with Finance but it wasn't too far from what I expected.

HR. I will always freaking remember this subject because it is the only one that has put me in this roller coaster ride on how I felt.

Happiness, sadness, surprises, anxiousness, confusion, amusement holy mother son of fucking bitch.

I am SOOOOOOO glad it is over!

Now I can fully enjoy my holidays without any worries!!!! So happy!

Real-life Barbie.

Oh hi. It's been urm 4 days since my last post. U know you have no life when you know exactly how many days have past wtf.

I was busy watching The Hills + Family Guy and playing video games.

And working as well. After having 5 consecutive days off, I finally went back to work on Sat (double shifts), Sun (Lobby Bar) and today (Mosaic).

Anyway, Sydney is currently hosting the Medibank International Tennis Competition or something similar to that nature. All the tennis players are staying in house with Westin.

To clarify straight up, no Nadal or Federer or Williams or Sharapova. Those people go to the Melb one ok!

In this tournament, the most popular ones would probably be Kim Clijsters, Jelena Dokic and Marcus something (a Greek guy).

They are always hanging around the Lobby Bar, having coffee and chatting.

I can tell you 2 things right now.

1) Clijsters is actually so much prettier and more feminine in real-life as opposed to what you see on TV. On Sun night, it was a cocktail party for all the players, the media as well as the sponsors in the Lobby Bar lounge area. She wore a beige top with a pair of very flattering olive green pants. She had minimal makeup on and her hair was tied loosely. Beautiful.

2) Dokic is not very friendly in person. Doesn't even flick a smile at anyone. Constantly with her bf/trainer. But I can tell you why she wasn't smiling much because she is OUT of the tournament now. Karma!

I didn't really see a lot of hot guys there except one but I didn't know his name.

So that's how my weekend went.

******

The results are supposedly out this morning but however, there is still nothing now (how typical).

I am guessing it will be out around 5 or 6pm. Just like last time.

*fingers crossed*

New makeup!

Not yet purchased :p

But I have done all the necessary research and samples I need to do a skincare and makeup overhaul.

Today, after getting some DVDs, I decided to pop by Myers to ask around for samples.

I went to Benefit, Lancome, Mecca, Clinique, Bloom and Shiseido. I was looking for new moisturiser, new primer, new foundation and mattifier.

Bloom - Asked for sunscreen. Tried on my hand, didn't quite like it as it felt a bit greasy (this is even though the sunscreen is made for oily-skin, acne-prone face). Got a sample anyway.

Benefit - The saleslady tried on a tinted moisturiser/sunscreen on me. It was alright but I didn't quite like it. It felt a bit too cakey. Then I tried on a mattifier as well. I like that one - although again it felt powdery and thick.

Mecca - Tried on the Murad Mattifier. I like that one better than Benefit. Asked for sample.

Lancome - Told the lady I was looking for a oil-free foundation with matte finish. Coverage irrelevant. Wanted to try the Teint Miracle but the saleslady recommended Teint Idole Ultra in 010 instead. She put some on my face and the result was good. It gave me a good coverage but doesn't look cakey.

Clinique - The lady at this counter recommended Even Better SPF15 in 01. The result was same as Lancome's. Although I like it a lil bit better than Lancome's. So I continued shopping around.

Shiseido - The lady at Shiseido used the most products on my face. First of all, she used a mattifying moisturiser followed by the Refining makeup Primer. And then she applied Dual Balancing Foundation in 120 on one side of my face. Result? The smoothest I have ever seen of face with makeup on.

I have no idea if it was the primer or the mattifying moisturiser but damn my skin sure looks good.

So now I have a clearer idea on which products I will use.

Cleanser - Formula 10.0.06's Best Face Forward. It's a drugstore brand but it's very popular and have really good reviews online.
Moisturiser - Am divided between Origins Make a Diference and Shiseido's Mattifying Moisturiser. But I think I am leaning more towards Origins because Shiseido has a large percentage of alcohol in it.
Sunscreen - At first I wanted Clinique Super City Block Sheer SPF 25 but then I found Mecca sells this sunscreen called 'To Save Face SPF 30+" and it actually has better reviews than Clinique.
Primer - Definitely Shiseido Refining Makeup Primer.
Foundation - Divided between Clinique Even Better makeup and Shiseido Dual Balancing Foundation.
Mattifier - Again definitely Murad.

OMG. I cannot wait to start shopping for all of them! I really love makeup and skincare :)

I love Disney princesses.

Do you know there is an official Disney Princesses website????

OMG. I went crazy playing their games, listening to their stories and playing dress up.

On their homepage, you get all the princesses in front and when you hover your icon over them, they'll talk to you *amazed wtf.

I think all the princesses sounded alright except Aurora and Snow White. Sw sounds too squeaky/fake and Aurora sounds and even looks a bit like a man wtf.

Aurora, Belle and Pocahontas are my 3 fav princesses. But dayum, what the fuck did they do to Aurora??!! They change her hair colour from ash blonde to taxi-cab yellow and make her look like a freaking tranny! Seriously, watch the Sleeping Beauty (1950s) and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Just ranting.

Anyways, here are my picks on their costumes.

Mulan. I tried to stick to the style and background of the princesses.
Cinderella. Blonde, white-silver dress. Self - explanatory.

Ariel. I initially chose a blue wavy dress because it represents where she's from and it also complements her hair colour but for some reason it didn't quite work out. So I ended up with a red dress which is urmm..

Snow White. This dress suits her to a T. It's not tight-fitted and it's very innocent. And she's carrying a basket of apples.
Princess Tiana. This is a bit hard because I have not watch Princess and the frog yet so I don't relate to her story but since she's with the frog, why not green?

Pocahontas! One of my fav Disney princess because she's so awesome and cool like even without trying. I stuck to her tribal background in this dress.
Jasmine. I was undecided between two dresses but was too lazy to print screen the other one wtf.

Belle. She's French and her original colour is yellow. So this is basically a cardigan over her dress.
Aurora. Sorry, Merrywether. I like pink better on Aurora. Aurora's dresses weren't that pretty so this is the best I could pick I think.

I am just BORED!! Been watching Disney princesses movies on YouTube like 2 days now. I love happy endings :)

NYE 2011

So I shall present you with a few not-so-interesting pictures because there are only 3 of us wtf.

My bro and I. Why la my stance so awkward?

Throngs of people.
More people. GAHHHHH
Eating Maccas at 10.30pm is the way to live wtf.
Opps. Camwhore. This is what I look like after work.

Our view sitting down. So poor..have to sit down among the weeds and plants.
Yeah!!! Finally it starts.
The bridge is just right in front of us.

People mountain people sea at George St.
And btw, I recently bought myself two lipsticks from StrawberryNet again. It was like 'Sale! 40% off!!' so I went browsing. Found two shades that I liked. Just received them today.

Tested them on my hand. The pink shade is called Rose Croisette by Bourjois and the reddish one is Corail des mers by Bourjois as well.

No flash.
With flash.

I have to say I really like it and it is one of those impulse purchases that I do not regret. It's very mositurising and very easy to apply. Can even double up as a gloss. So yeah! More shades for me to use when college reopens.

And moving on to more purchases, I bought this LCD TV from a German guy (the irony!) in Waterloo for $150! Freaking bargain ok! It's only 26 inches but hey, it's enough for us to play the PS.

Through this process, I realised that I secretly enjoy learning about the guys stuff like electronics as well as shopping for them ;)

The next time I get a place of my own, I'll buy a spanking new bigger TV for myself :)

I also made a couple more purchases from Ebay for the games. My bro wanted the Call of Duty: Black Ops. It sells for at least $95 here and I bought the game from Ebay for $58 (thank God for the strong AUD currency!).

I bought Tekken 6 as well and I shall receive them soon :)))

I am currently playing a game called Facebreakers. I swear to God it is the best stress reliever ever!

Basically if you play the practice mode, your opponent can be made a dummy while you 'practice' your moves on him/her.

I beat the SHIT out of my opponent and at the end of the game, you get to see your opponent's face all swollen and distorted because you BROKE HIS FACE muahahahhahahaha!!!

I'm evil. Ciao!

2011 is here!

Happy New Year!! Why la am I always 2 days too late to wish people.

Anyways, I was working as usual on NYE. Finished at about 9pm and off my bro, his friend and I we walked to Circular Quay. The entire George St was closed from Town Hall onwards.

It was actually pretty cool to see the entire road filled with people of all kinds (including ang moh lakos in other word bogans). Families with little screaming kids waving their light sticks around, Maccas super busy because no one wants to pay $10 for a burger.

The 3 of us reached The Rocks at 10pm. The process of finding a seating place was excruciating. People are pushing/yelling/stepping on each other's feet. Stupid. After 30 minutes of playing human sandwiches, we finally found a spot.

It was excellent! We could see the Harbour Bridge directly in front of us. But what I didn't know is that the fireworks go off in 5 different spots WTF!

So when the clock struck 12, fireworks started at Harbour Bridge for 10 seconds and then it moved on to the Opera House where we COULD NOT see anything because there was a fucking tree!

Ya Allah! Can don't so potong steam anotttttt WTF.

It was pretty shit tho. The entire thing lasted like 15 minutes and then mai-tan! Finished! Everyone go home. And I had to wake up at 5.30am to go to work. Shit.

I might as well go home and sleep!

Dunno if this is a sign of things that will come my way in 2011 but fingers crossed it's not. Because results are coming out on Jan 10th (fuck!).

And tomorrow is my first day off after the long 13 days! Actually it's because there is no shift otherwise I would still be working.

*************

2011 is the year that I will finally graduate. As in with the whole ceremony, dress, hat and all that shizz.

With that piece of paper, I will venture into the working world trying to secure a stable job that will enable me to achieve things that I have constantly day-dream about.

I do have a few plans in mind. It's always good to have Plan B, Plan C and so forth.

Couldn't help but notice this. While reading a few blogs around (belonging to friends/friend of friend), I constantly come across posts about the phase of growing up or rather the reluctance or doubts of growing up.

The authors write about the uncertainty that they face once they graduate and reminisce on the 'good ol times' where bills and responsibilities were not part of their lives. And there are actually people who will continue to study just because they don't want to leave the comfortable world they are in.

It's fine if you are continuing your studies for the sake of improving your education qualifications but to escape from the so-called 'harsh world'?

For me, I cannot wait for the day I am able to implement my plan because that is the day I am responsible for my own life, actions and future. I know that there are plenty of opportunities out there for me. I am able to do whatever I want (within limits) and make decisions for myself and it is great! A privilege if you want to call it.

I am close to that stage right now although not entirely because my studies is still funded by my father. However, I pay my own rent, put food on the table and earn my own spending money.

Again, I still don't have much freedom with that because according to my mum - you're still a student. try to save as much as possible. only spend when you are really working. Always happens when I'm trying to buy stuffs for my siblings.

As for those people who are 'reluctant' to grow up, in their defense it might be because they have so many choices they don't know which to choose or they have not actually figure out what they really want. Well, this is why you should make an effort to think it through.

I wouldn't use the word God but let me phrase it this way. You can only achieve results if you put in the effort.. Like you need me to tell you that. It's common sense.

If you put in the time and effort to think it through and do some research on what you want in life, I'm sure there are opportunities for everyone. And some luck would come in handy too.

So here I am in 2011 with 2 more semesters to go. 11 more months in Australia. I will make full use of my time here to gain as much knowledge as possible in order to increase my chances of Plan A (that is marry an old man and get citizenship WTF). Just kidding you know that right?

2010 was a great year for me. Worked a lot, gained the trust of supervisors at work and a whole lot of experience in the hotel (worked in 3 different departments), spent a lot of time with my colleagues and friends at work and school.

Didn't travel at all! Boo but that will change because I have a trip coming up soon in Feb :)
Didn't get to spend much time with my Brunei friends as well. I feel bad. Need to manage my time more wisely.
Didn't blog much as well. Hahah..well guess I was just too busy. To blog more will not be one of my so-called goals this new year.

I welcomed the new year with a new LCD TV (well, 2nd hand but still new to me wtf) and new games for the PS3! Imma be playing video games the entire week and be fat and happy!! I also bought a special edition controller online in RED for me. Yesh! No one will use that controller except me muahahhahahaha!

Seriously I have been buying so much things online it's against the law. But it makes me happy knowing that I have something to look forward to everytime I open the mailbox :))

OK this has been a very moody post but I wish everyone had a good 2010 and will have another awesome 2011. Most importantly, stay happy and healthy and vain so FB stays interesting wtf.

P/S: I did take some pictures. They will be up maybe tomorrow :)
