So urm....it's holidays.

Man........this sucks. The way I feel right now is absolutely 180 degrees from what I felt exactly one term ago. I was super high, confident and felt occupied. But right now, it's just well, i finished my exam what now.

Because I have the damn HR and Stats to worry about!

To be honest I thought Stats was easy. But I did throw away a 10 mark ques. Finance was surprisingly easy too. I am most confident in Finance (ironically).

Ahhh..this sucks balls.

Now it's holidays..imma work and spent the whole holidays playing Wii wtf. I am going to buy myself a set of Nintendo Wii and work my arse off.

The minute we went down, briefing started. Grace was freaking demented ok. I feel so bad for her coz she probably has tonnes of pressure on her and this is the biggest event of the year (sorta).

The food and beverage alone for 500 pax costs over $100,000. That is not including production team, decorations and etc.

This is what the room looks like.
It's not too impressive but when I was in the room, it actually overwhelmed me for a second and after that, I started to pick on the little details.

First of all, their colour theme were latte/gold/beige and white for table settings. However, they decided to add in red roses and gerberas as the base for the centrepieces.

It just looks so tacky.

Their guestlist were pretty impressive tho. They even invited the Indonesian Consulate General in Australia to their wedding. Granted they themselves were the richest family in Indonesia already so that comes as no surprise really.

The whole wedding just looks like a formal business function to be honest. The bride looks sooo sad to be there. She was constantly on her iPhone and never smile the entire night.

Man, if I have a $200,000 wedding, I will be HAHHAAHHAHHAHAAHAH throughout the night la.

In addition to this, they are having another wedding in Bali back home! That's probably another $50,000.

Such is life man!

For their entertainment, they hired some Brazilian dancers like last year and invited Leo Sayers. WHOOO???

Who the fuck is that. I know right....I thought maybe they're gonna hire Beyonce or even Oprah since she's here in Sydney now wtf.

His songs are kinda nice but it was mehhh for me.

People on my table were smashing the orange juice. Asian bahhhh.

The night was overall fairly easy and the whole room was cleared before 12am.

So that's it ladies and gentlemen. That wraps up my 2010 in banquets.

I don't know what else to say. *sadddddddddd

Remember around one year ago I blogged about this engagement dinner?

It was for this Indon couple 20 years old both of them. They hired famous singers from Indo and Australia to perform at their party and everything was over the top. And after the function, the bride/groom's dad left us a $1000 tip.

Well, they're back today! For their wedding. The real shizznit.

They are so rich they even had tablecloths especially made for this wedding. Cmon. Tablecloths? You used them for one time and what after that? Make curtains? Donate to homeless?

I have not seen the room yet but I bet they are going to go all out for this wedding. I am also excited to see who they have invited to perform tonight.

And I also need to stop shopping online. I'm broke :(((

Twists and turns of life

You guys know about the 4000 words HR report that I had to do a few weeks ago?

- It was meant for 6-7 people but my group only had 3 people including me.
- I only started on it the day before the due date.

I received a D for it. *GASPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

When I saw the results last night, I was like fuck no!!! There must be a mistake and I was so scaree as well because the teacher might have entered the grades wrongly because D and F are just next to each other on the keyboard!

So I emailed him and this morning he replied "Do not worry, lesley! The grades are entered as marks so there is no mistake". Phew!!

But seriously, you gotta question the education system sometimes because people like me get D for doing their work last minute and also not knowing a single thing she was talking about in the presentation aka she was merely bullshitting throughout the entire presentation.

But it's a good thing coz I NEED IT! Today's test was *sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I seriously do not know what I was writing about and there was a short essay question 30% which I'm pretty sure 25% went out the window.

The weighting of HR is as follows:

Individual presentation - 20%
Group report and presentation - 20%
Final exam - 60%

Since I got a credit for my ind.pre that means a minimum of 13% out of 20% and D for group report which means 15% out of 20%, the total score I have right now is 28%. I need another 22% from the final exam to pass this course.

And that means I have to get 44 out of the 100 marks in the final exams to get 22% out of the 60% weight. Just to pass.

OK. The total marks for the final exam is 100.

Short answer ques maybe I can score 20 out of 29. Case study maybe 30 out of 41. Let's just assume the essay is bye bye. That brings a total of 50 out of 100.

Which means I still stand a chance in passing. But seriously man!! Even conceded pass I'm also happy ah. CP means 45-50.

I really got study hardddddddd. I even borrowed the textbook from library to study :(((

So sad. No more mood. Not even the smile of the charming 60 yr old man can lift my spirits.

The day I was a kelefeh in a Bollywood video.

HAHHAHAHAHHA!!!

Each department in Westin had to come up with a video for the end of year annual staff party and us being banquets decided to stick to the theme - Bollywood.

Adam advised us to bring a colourful top to work yesterday because we will be filming after lunch.

Most of us didn't so we just wore what we came to work in. Myling said she felt like a douche bwahahahah!!

I was wearing my long-sleeved top with a huge ass bow T__T

Anyway, the idea was the boys will come out one exit and girls will come out the other. Each of us will do two laps of running around LOL and form a circle. Boys outside, girls inside.

Bhavisha and Vishal will be in the middle of the circle being the "main characters". All the others aka US will be the background dancers.

The shit thing is I had to lead the girls out and was the stopping point for the entire circle. So once I stop, the girls will stop after me one by one followed by the boys.

Once the circle is formed, the girls will turn around and face the guys. Then we start to do the clapping and hand motions THEN the girls will turn clockwise to the next guy and repeat until the circle is completed.

It was so freaking hilarious ok! I mean cmon! Usually we make fun of these dancers in the movies you see and now I have to be one of them!!

Damn paiseh ok! And they are going to show the entire video at the party *slits throat*

I felt like the movie constantly out-do itself. When the 3rd movie got released, people say it's even better than the 2nd. When the 6th movie came out, they say it's better than the 5th (ok....maybe not the 6th one coz that was the one with the most number of complains) but you get what I'm saying.

Now I'm excited to watch Narnia 3 and Tron. Woop woop!
